dude, do you have to make everything about me personally.. come on man, don't get so emotional over my post.. we are men around here and some of you act so catty... really dude? really? come on... I am being realistic.. the knicks don't need another guy who just scores... sorry there is just one ball and we have two chuckers on this team.. what we need is a guy who can play two way ball off the bench, needs little touches and can facilitate... if copeland shows he can continue to score, some team that really needs scoring is going to offer him more than we can afford for that type of player.. simple and plain, and as a fan of the knicks and copeland, you should be happy for him.. if we lose JR smith, then keeping copeland may be more of a need...

THANKS DR PHIL... but honestly most posters who are annoyed are in need of a hero, and anyone who does not believe in their hero they become public enemy #1.. I say stick to the topic at hand, don't worry about who is behind the keyboard.. you don't know me.. most likely never will.... the focus on who is posting seems to be tantamount to what is said, and that should not be the case... Do you really thin me saying other teams out there can use copeland is antagonizing? please, that is just lame.. No wonder why people tend to sympathize with the weak mentality of this team that was called out by the coach may I remind you... The funny thing is if I made mindless homer post after homer post about how great carmelo is, there would be no problem, heck I could trash everyone on this team except him and I bet you any amount of money, NO ONE would be frustrated with how I post... it is clear bro.. some of yall are in need of a hero...
don't feel sorry for me, I am good.. I feel sorry for guys like you and others.. you seem to get easily shook.... kind of like carmelo standing outside of the celtics bus with that silly hat on, looking to "talk" to KG.. that was the sadest thing I have seen... don't go down that road..

Later indicators of autism include:
impaired ability to make friends with peers
You are posting at a pro-knicks website with a decidedly anti-knick view, which only serves to irritate and drag the level of discussion down --- promoting anger and frustration for all. People generally avoid these type of situations, and dont frequent areas where their opinions are acutely unpopular.
absence or impairment of imaginative and social play
Relatable to the above.
stereotyped, repetitive, or unusual use of language
Your stereotyped and repetitive language regarding Melo, is bizarre and base. You desperately organize your thoughts and views to incoherently convict Melo of being this awful person and player, in order to fulfill the daily agenda of furthering your crusade against the man. This is all stemming from a basketball trade years ago, in which the object of your desire, Gallo, has proven to be an oft-injured average player, while Melo has been the best Knick since Ewing. This only further drives your imbalanced crusade, because you have been proven wrong, on top of everything else.
restricted patterns of interest that are abnormal in intensity or focus
This is related to the above as well. You are singularly fixated on trying to convince the world of your childish hatred of Carmelo anthony, never missing an opportunity to ridicule him in very improper, and irresponsible ways, that should be beneath the level of a grown man. You are very immature in that sense, which signals a cognitive issue.
preoccupation with certain objects or subjects
inflexible adherence to specific routines or rituals
Both fit here....(why not just go to a different website, why not take a more reasonable and balanced approach if you are going to stay). Overall, you have created a weirdly obsessed parallel universe against a man who is playing great basketball and is a good person. I am convinced that you are handicapped by a diagnosed/undiagnosed cognitive impairment disorder
Im just curious as to whats really going on here with you. You are insistent on trying to ruin a great knick season. I dont like it, and Im sure Im not alone here.

I totally agree. The ball does not move when he is in the game. That being said, I root for Copeland and he CAN score. Reminds me a bit of Eddie Lee Wilkins. Uncanny ability to score but little else.

Humility is one thing. Stepping into a starters role, after you barely made the final cut, is another. Chris Copeland should not even be here, let alone in the starting lineup. Whoever heard of a 28 year old becoming a star?
Then again, maybe its just the socks.
For the sake on continuity I hope that Copeland can stay at the 3 for 35 minutes/ Hope he can continue to earn it hes played well and could be a good player to play 3-4 with anthony if he can commit to getting a few more rebounds

Yeah, I think you can say Copeland is both and average NBA guy and a unexpected find. You have to be happy anytime you can find a contributor from off the scrap heap. Cope reminds me a little bit of Eddy Lee, Lee Nailon and John Wallace...Guys with nice touches and scoring ability who are good in situational matchups.

Thats a good comparison. Lee nailon....although nailon was very porous on d. Copeland is just mediocre.
Vinnie Johnson, Dell Curry, Eddie House, Toni Kukoc, Jason Terry, Detlef Shrempf, etc have made a living of putting the ball in the hoop from the bench.

i DO Frequent other web sites... and oh thanks for letting me stay, but I do take a balanced approach here.. just not the PRO-melo Hero approach... case in point, why was it necessary for that poster to comment the way he did on my post about copeland? what wasn't balanced about it? and then you jumped right in as usual.. again, some of you guys need to stop acting all shook up over things you don't agree with...
You are insistent on trying to ruin a great knick season. I dont like it, and Im sure Im not alone here.
great for who? that is a matter of opinion.. as far as I am concerned and honestly how can I ruin anything.. if i don't agree that carmelo is the second coming of christ, will that change the knicks record or how you feel about this team? instead of focusing on dissenting opinions, enjoy the knicks, I am not stoping you from doing that.. if you can't stand seeing any anti knick comments just ignore them... have you ever tried that?

funny thing you said that. I met eddie lee wilkins when I first move to GA, at the sports authority.. he is a cool dude... yea, copeland is a likeable guy, can score the ball, would like to see what else he can do out there...

I don't need your help.. why keep derailing when you were asked by the mods to stop? you have yet to make one post regarding this topic.. and you say I need help? come on man.. get a grip and stick to ball..
and please show me where I have attacked melo that has nothing to do with basketball.. remember behavior has a lot to do with how you are looked upon as a leader.. you mentioned now show me? everything I have criticized him on has to do with this team, him as a player and his behavior while on the knicks.. all relevant.. and again, this thread has nothing to do with carmelo.. again, you are losing it..

you are not at all helping out. This is a thread on Cope.
He has to be able to play the PF much efficiently in terms of DEFENSE and rebounding
His handle/ability to penetrate only works against slow PF/C's that try to contest his long jumpshot's and will not work against SF's
He still has potential especially if JR Smith does leave for our bench, not saying he will be a 6th man, but he could be a contributer of the bench
Adam Morrison 2.0 with better post game/handle, and need's to work on his foot speed for both end's off the floor
If he can utilize his post game with Rasheed Wallace's help and improve his weakness's, I can see him becoming a developing in to a solid player
He isn't young but his game does not rely on athleticism so I think he can still improve and fill in his potential
His game is well defined. He was the finisher on offense based on ball movement.
Defense he played in Europe was team based not individual.
He need to make huge adjustments for NBA game and he is having a good progress in it.
He is undersized for 4 and slow for 3. That's why he was not in NBA.
But now for the team like Knicks with very simple playbook he became useful.
NBA game is changing too to the small ball and less contact.
Cope is just a representation of NBA trend.
And old style PFs are dinosaurs to be extinct.

Not sure I agree with this line of thinking (at least yet). It is difficult to assess Cope after only a partial season in the NBA mostly as a second teamer. He is probably still trying to find how his game fits the NBA as Woodson is still toying with Cope's role on the team. Coming out of pre-season....many here predicted that Cope would only see splinters on the bench or at most a few minutes during blowouts. He has exceeded expectations and may still be building confidence in his NBA game.
On the perimeter he seems to move the ball within the offensive flow of the system and is not a black hole. When he is inside however there is an element of his game that still seems like he is playing a pick-up game and will just charge the basket and throw it various ways at the rim to see what sticks. He does however (and as you point out) seem to have a knack for scoring. I disagree with your premis in another post that the Knicks could use a role player with a different skill set instead of Cope because they already have enough chuckers. First - they already have that player (the currently injured Camby as well as Kurt Thomas)....Second - they have had that role player in the recent past with no offensive game(JJ). Cope has a nice outside touch for a big.....can always use that.....plus rebounding is primarily effort and technique...there is still time for him to develop this as an NBA player. Yes he is 28, but perhaps he is a late bloomer. Age is a state of mind - at least that's what I keep telling myself.
I agree that given his performance and the Knicks salary situation, it may be tough to re-sign him next year.
