Dude Raymond Felton wanted out because he didn't want to be Ty Lawson's backup. Miller and Kenyon signed there as free agents(keep in mind Miller has been traded 2 times by Denver I believe) still there, Kenyon Martin wanted re-up with Denver as did J.R. Smith as did Iverson. Camby re-upped, Birdman re-upped, Nene re-upped, McGee re-upped, Ty Lawson re-upped, Iggy wants to re-up this summer. Billups didn't want to be traded here with Melo he and his family were somewhat devastated although he said all the right things.

Should I keep going for you?

Miller wanted out because he wanted to start too but when he got his freedom this off-season who did he sign with? Denver! Gallo had a chance to wait to sign his QO but instead as soon as he could, he signed an extension. You don't even know if this rumor has real legs oh and The Nuggets tried to trade Chandler on 2 occasions since his arrival so what would be his reasons to show undying loyalty to them?

That's unpossible! THe Knicks are the only team any player in the league wants to play for!

But seriously, it's pretty obvious that Chandler wants out not because he hates Denver/loves NY but because he's playing less than 20mpg and wants a larger role.

rofl.. wow, that was right to the point...

3G4G wrote:I'd take him back but other players would have to make real sacrifices and not lip service status quo ones and our style of play would have to change somewhat.

Our style of play has to accomodate...Wilson...Chandler???
You truly have a unique outlook on life. That Denver timeshare really works wonders on your worldview, huh?
What if we, dare I say it, could get Gallo back? Would we have to fire the coach, move the franchise and change our name?

I think Wilson Chandler may have a great chance at becoming the next Landry Fields.

sorry... what is our style of play again? Ive seen every game this year and it changes week to week. Would love some color on this.

Some don't understand basketball. If you're playing too many players out of positions and they only have certain skillsets then yes you'd have to play a certain way.

Our style of play is to look for the 3 ball primarily.... while allowing Melo to hold the joystick most of the time. W. Chandler/Melo/Amar'e/Novak overlap the 3/4 positions with not enough minutes to dole out.

which leads me to believe that everytime I hear people say carmelo needs help.. maybe his style of play..(holding the joystick) just isn't conducive to the point where it allows more talented players to actually play a role that can help the team..

Felton lost his job to Lawson.

Denver is a place players want out of? can you elaborate?

Is it "Melo wanted out, so its a bad place?"

Wilson Chandler came to the Denver Nuggets from the New York Knicks in a trade that sent away star player Carmelo Anthony and veteran Chauncey Billups. Chandler on March 18, 2012 also signed a five-year $31.7 million contract with Denver.

It has been rumored on Twitter that Chandler has asked for a trade by the deadline of Feb. 21.

Chandler has averaged 9.5 points and nearly five rebounds per game this season with the Nuggets, and despite being the only player held to single digits against the Cleveland Cavaliers last game, his +/- was a team best +9. This shows his ability to help the team on both ends of the court, important when you like to push the ball.

Chandler could arguably be a starter on another team, but then again so could Corey Brewer, Andre Miller and JaVale McGee. Hopefully the rumors aren’t true. Hopefully this talk won’t affect the Nuggets current hot streak, and hopefully this team stays together for at least the duration of the season.

The Nuggets are currently on a four-game road trip before NBA All-Star weekend and are trying to jump past the Los Angeles Clippers for the third spot in the Western Conference. The Nuggets are only 11-15 on the road while dominating at home, 22-3.

Sometimes it’s hard to comprehend what is happening on Twitter, and sometimes it’s hard to comprehend exactly what someone is saying or wants to say. Professional athletes are human too, they tweet something, think about it for a while and then go back and delete it. Who hasn’t done that either on Twitter or Facebook?

DJ be unpopular for this buy goin to say it
If OUR knickerbockers can deal JR Smith straight even up for Wilson Chandler I'd be happy

Both guys go to basket with JR being better at outside FG shot trys & Chandler more inside jumper and post

Wilson more consistent defender & less foolish fouls than JR
Both inconsistent but Wilson do few more Lil thangs like block shots, & rebounder

Both can shoot 3pt FG with JR leading that
Once you get JR past Georgie-Porgie pudding&pie Karl then trade can work for both since Nuggets scheme & what Karl wants to do JR knows most of it already.

Chandler a valued ex knick & still young can guard bigs & SGs

Do deal I'd be happy

landing a talented do all player like Chandler would be a coup. Cant see a scenario that happens in. Denver has had enough of JR I suspect. That leaves Shump as trade bait. Ouch.

Again... this is the problem with all old guys. Nobody wants them. At least Anthony Randolph had some value. What value does Camby, Sheed, Kurt, Kidd or Prigo have in a trade? Who wants 35 year old guys in a trade?

Yeah - Denver is in remission - they have zero interest in bringing back crazy JR

Exactly and jr and wilsons contract dont even match. Karl hates JR

how about Shump, Tyson, Novac, Camby for Dwight

What position does W.Chandler play?

fishmike wrote:how about Shump, Tyson, Novac, Camby for Dwight

Forget Novak and Camby as throw in's, but I wouldn't trade both Iman Shumpert and Tyson Chandler for Dwight Howard, not in a million years I wouldn't.

Nice way of trying to rip apart some of our heart and soul as a Knicks team though.

Swishfm3 wrote:What position does W.Chandler play?

SF. We would use him at PF some. Good athletic defender who can guard 3 positions better than Melo and Amare. Shoot the 3 better than anyone on the team with the exception of Melo. Not even worth discussing Novak

anyway we don't have anything to offer Denver. They don't need Shump with Iggy and Corey Brewer

Chandler has an all star skill set and a rec league motor. Too many times he would disappear in games and you would forget he was even on the floor. Put up good numbers but was not aggressive offensively by nature. He was a consistently good defender.

Wilson had some his best games when he thought he was being traded. When the rumors died down so did his playing like an all star. Its normal to play harder when you hear that you might be traded, but with Chandler we saw what he was capable of when he played with a sense of urgency. A lot more drives to the rim, not deferring as much.

No way I trade JR, for all his faults, he brings more to the table than Chandler does. I'm confident we are going to see a different JR in the playoffs than last year.

Wilson is not an allstar but he'd would be great on this team because his ability to defend 3's & 4's and knock down open and contested 3's. Too bad we have nothing to offer Denver

gunsnewing wrote: Too bad we have nothing to offer Denver

We do have pieces to offer Denver...

Carmelo Anthony.
Amar'e Stoudemire.
Tyson Chandler.
Iman Shumpert.
Raymond Felton.
J.R Smith.

But, unfortunately for Denver, we would never trade any of our key pieces for Wilson Chandler of all players.

On a side note, I'd offer Chris Copeland, James White and Ronnie Brewer for Wilson Chandler. They can take it or leave it.

I would do a 3-way trade with the Lakers and Hawks. Copeland to Lakers for Dwight and White & Brewer for Josh Smith. I would even throw in Novak and Kurt Thomas to sweeten the pot

Wilson chandler would be a nice fit with his ability to play the 3/4 next to Melo. Only player i can think of Denver being interested in outside of Shumpert of course is Novak. They have other guys similar to Chandler's skillset but don't have anyone quite like Novak. They need a consistent perimeter shooter. It's possible, but unlikely. Chandler would look great next to Melo at the 3 with Shumpert moving back to the 2.
