Wilson chandler would be a nice fit with his ability to play the 3/4 next to Melo. Only player i can think of Denver being interested in outside of Shumpert of course is Novak. They have other guys similar to Chandler's skillset but don't have anyone quite like Novak. They need a consistent perimeter shooter. It's possible, but unlikely. Chandler would look great next to Melo at the 3 with Shumpert moving back to the 2.

We do have pieces to offer Denver...
Carmelo Anthony.
Amar'e Stoudemire.
Tyson Chandler.
Iman Shumpert.
Raymond Felton.
J.R Smith.
But, unfortunately for Denver, we would never trade any of our key pieces for Wilson Chandler of all players.
On a side note, I'd offer Chris Copeland, James White and Ronnie Brewer for Wilson Chandler. They can take it or leave it.
I would do a 3-way trade with the Lakers and Hawks. Copeland to Lakers for Dwight and White & Brewer for Josh Smith. I would even throw in Novak and Kurt Thomas to sweeten the pot
Makes zero sense.
Why would the Lakers trade Dwight in return for Copeland (of all players) and why would ATL trade Josh Smith for White and Brewer....

I disagree. I think it makes perfect sense
Knicks are 32-17
Lakers are 24-28
Hawks are 28-22
Melo is leading the league in scoring at 29.0ppg!
Clearly the Knicks are the best team in the league so getting getting Dwight and Josh for Copeland & co. Heck even throw in Chris Smith and get it done!!!!!!

Who said anything about the Knicks being "the best team in the league"? Although we're currently the 5th best team in all of basketball.
No thanks. Chandler has been mostly irrelevant and injured the last two years. Why would we want to trade for that?

He is healthy now
Not saying there's any chance just saying I'd love to add him to this team

Some don't understand basketball. If you're playing too many players out of positions and they only have certain skillsets then yes you'd have to play a certain way.
Our style of play is to look for the 3 ball primarily.... while allowing Melo to hold the joystick most of the time. W. Chandler/Melo/Amar'e/Novak overlap the 3/4 positions with not enough minutes to dole out.
which leads me to believe that everytime I hear people say carmelo needs help.. maybe his style of play..(holding the joystick) just isn't conducive to the point where it allows more talented players to actually play a role that can help the team..
I do think Melo has changed from that "joystick" mentality (at least in part). The Olympic team really affected him in a good way. He heard the same "can't play as a team" stuff here and it caused him to further change. Now, he still handles the ball and wastes time dribbling but he is getting more and more away from it.
He is just such a great talent and the smarter he players and his upside goes just so high - unfortunately he had been living on offensive talent alone for so long. This year his defense is much better, albeit not consistent (as is our team).
I think we need a shooter who can create his own shot and has IQ, unlike JR. Yeah, I'm going to mention Lin again here, they could have been something special together.
I wouldn't mind Reddick, but his defense isn't great. I sort of am hoping Shump comes back and then I think we'll be a bit better off but we still need a smart offensive threat out there that can play defense and JR is as close as we are gonna come I'm afraid.
Oddly enough, I think Melo's biggest problems arise when he doesn't have enough talent around him. He is learning to play more in a team environment, but we just don't have everyone healthy (which man of us complained about as being possible when we brought on the old folks).
Wilson Chandler likes the weed better in NY than Denver
Why wouldn't Denver take Novak for Chandler? They need a pure shooter. I wouldn't do the trade if I'm ny though.

I would personally drive Novak to Denver for Wilson Chandler

I would personally take Wilson back to Denver once he arrives in Ny and give him a pack of Doritos to eat along the way.

Because Novak's play has completely fallen off a cliff? He's a career backup who seems to be reverting back to benchwarmer. His minutes have been cut from 26mpg in December to 12mpg so far in February while Chandler is heading in the opposite direction playing 26mpg in 3 games in December and 23mpg in 5 games so far in February. Oh, and we gave this 29 year old career backup a 4 year $15M contract this offseason.
