Knicks · Jermaine Oneal was absolutely a beast last night--also on Twitter Knicks and Wolves tak trade (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 2/13/2013 10:12 AM
If anyone watched that game--you walk away impressed. He makes little to nothing and would be awesome next to Tyson--because he can score in the low block--and while Tyson does not block shots Oneal does. That would give us a three big man rotation of Oneal Tyson and Amare---dominant for any club to contend with. Neither Wallace or Camby can produce what Oneal can right now he looks physically great--young and bouncy. If we cant make a deal for Shumpert--can we do a $ deal with Oneal--the owner is cheap.

On a side note it was reported the Knicks and Wolves are talking but no names mentioned.

Another rumor in twitter world is Shump for Milsap. This is going to be a crazy few weeks before the trade deadline.

My goodness I would do that--anyone else?

Mislap yes but wouldn't that be a 1/2 yr? I don't know how bird rights and stuff like that work.

Nalod @ 2/13/2013 10:29 AM

He is a free agent, if we can sign him going forward you do this.

I like shump but being a knick fan means don't get attached to the "Utes" so if it makes the team better for now, well we'll worry about the future in the future.

BRIGGS @ 2/13/2013 10:29 AM
Wolves might need additional cap space for next year to sign Perovic. Its likely one of Barea or Ridnour--perhaps in a cash deal--sending them ending contracts.

Shump and our #1 pick this year? It's a long shot but worth a try i guess

yellowboy90 @ 2/13/2013 10:36 AM
Would people do this deal

Ny:

Mislap
O'neal

Utah:

-Dudley
-Novake
-Lottery 1st

Phx:

Shump
White
Thomas

We can dream.

What, is Scott Layden the Utah GM now?
Clean @ 2/13/2013 10:46 AM
When dealing with trade rumors I call BS until one of those yahoo sports writers says something. Most of the other rumors are BS but that Woj guy has amazing sources around the NBA.

milsap is a good, hard working player. I like him, but if he agrees to sign, I think this spells the end of amare... it sure would seem that way..

I'm guessing you'll have to call your dentist to get your tongue out of your cheek, right?

AnubisADL @ 2/13/2013 11:04 AM
Milsap and Chandler up front.

Melo would be taking 40 shots a night.

If Layden were in charge they wouldn't be going after a young player with upside, they'd be looking at Kidd and Camby.

nyk4ever @ 2/13/2013 11:17 AM
j'oneal is playing great - i think he'd a great addition. the only problem is that i don't know how reliable he'd be. he's always been extremely injury-prone and trading away a talented young player in shumpert for an old injury-prone guy just doesn't seem worth it to me.

i'd do the millsap deal in a second though if that's true. or like briggs said, if we can pull a money deal with phoenix, i'd be down for that one too.

nyk4ever @ 2/13/2013 11:20 AM
i'd definitely do: j'oneal, dudley for shumpert, #1pick, expiring cap fodder (KT/Brewer)

And the Rights to Bibby & Kurt Thomas!

We have nothing to offer the Wolves for Admundson....that should tell you how dire our asset situation is....

Have or had? Amundson is on the streets as an FA.

I wouldn't mind the addition of Amundson but wouldn't Kenyon Martin be the better fit?
And since Amundson was waived, why didn't we pick him up from the waivers instead *unless taxpayers lose this ability???

I think Jannero Pargo would be a solid pick up at PG, which Atlanta did not offer another 10day contract yet, we simply need a player that can stay in front of PG's as our
3 headed monster of Felton/Kidd/Pablo has troubles with PG's with speed/quickness
While he might not be extremely talented, he is a veteran that understands his role, can hit the wide open 3point shot, can facilitate/penetrate, and play decent DEF
