Seriously does anyone have their head-to-head stats?

Jeremy Lin? lol. Felton's numbers of 2010-2011 were even better than Lin's numbers during "Linsanity".

Do you believe the stuff you say? You are reaching dido level.

Solace @ 2/21/2013 1:08 AM
Yeah well we wish we had Lin. But more with MDA as the coach. With Woodson, I don't have confidence he would've used Lin right, so it's hit and miss.

Also, since it was mentioned. Yes, I miss Landry Fields: Shutdown defense of Melo. I miss David Lee - epic All Star power forward. Looks like we downgraded when we let Lee go (for three unfortunately worthless pieces) and got Amar'e.

No he wasn't, you little liar you.

Lin played 26 games dating back to the NJ game. During those 26 games Lin averaged 18.4 points, 7.6 assists and 4.4 turnovers per game.

Ray played 54 games dating back to the TOR game. During those 54 games Ray averaged 17.1 points, 9.0 assists and 3.3 turnovers per game.

You little liar you.

What were the head-to-head stats between them as the Rockets pushed our faces all the way in this season?

Lin absolutely destroyed Felton the 2nd game. Blew by him and got to the paint at will.
22 & 9 on 60% vs Felton 14 & 4 on 39%

O.K, and what's your point? Carmelo Anthony (including playoffs) has a head to head record of 11-10 against LeBron James dating back to their rookie season. Are you trying to say Melo's better than LeBron due to head to head records? Don't be a hypocrite.

I said head-to-head stats not team record....Melo could be 21-0 against Lebron he'll never be better than him EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER

It's been a Hella bad couple weeks for you from the Melo 5-22222224fg shootin, to Joe Johnson Clutchin, to Lin Black Opin

Knicks beat Miami by 20pts! Rockets lose to Miami!

Felton: 27pts 4rebs 7 assists 50% FG
Lin: 9pts 1 reb 6 assists 37.5% FG

How does NYKMentality end up getting attacked because he's a big supporter of the team?

Really nice job of using one game. Some sample size.

And you mean to tell me that Jeremy Lin is getting paid more than DOUBLE the amount of Raymond Felton? That's a laughable joke.

Lin: $25,123,938 over the next 3 years.
Ray: $12,540,000 over the next 3 years.

There is no question which team is getting the much better value out of their respected PG's. And it's not Houston. Not for double the amount of Felton their not.

Notice how Gunsewing is attempting to lie in order to prove "just how wrong" I really am? Once again, Felton's numbers of 2010-2011 (54 games) were better than Lin's numbers during "Linsanity" (26 games). And no, Jeremy Lin wasn't "20 and 8" with our Knicks.

What am I talking about "kid"?

Lets keep this thread open. This way, everytime Lin has an off game/struggles, we can bump it up in order to laugh at Houston for overpaying for a PG in which can't even put up better numbers when compared to Raymond Felton. Also, would it be fair to compare the numbers of Lin to the likes of CP3? I mean, let's be honest here... Melo's always compared to the likes of Durant and LeBron. Can us Knick supporters compare Lin to the elite PG's of today? That would be an insult to the elite PG's...

OH YOU MAD.

What's there to be mad about?

Despite the fact that Lin's being paid more than double the amount of Felton, Felton himself has a much better winning percentage when compared to Lin. Felton averages more points and more assists per game when compared to Lin. And Felton also averages less turnovers per game when compared to Lin.

What am I annoyed about? The fact that our owners/mods give us a thread to discuss other games, but yet, certain posters decide to flood.

Compare their numbers all you want, but our eyes tell another story. Lin's IQ is so far above Feltons that this discussion is laughable. Not saying I don't like Felton but arguing about the cost savings of the guy who runs the team is really a bad argument to start with. To be fair this team has lots of other problems:

Going back to Melo "forcing" his way here. We lost a GREAT backup squad, which is partly our problem right now. Imagine Gallo, and Wilson and Moz (a healthy big) on this team right now.
Off season - Letting Lin walk for nothing, Kidd is the only guy out there with half a brain. (At least that matters.
Signing old men - I like all of them but let's face it. We knew it was taking a chance regarding injuries.
Depending on guys like JR to help out Melo (Yeah, JR can score but he doesn't exactly help out the team IQ)
Thinking a guy who can't shoot (but play great defense) in Brewer could have ever been our answer.

Now, again to be fair, when we get our Geriatric squad healthy again, when and if that day ever comes, we can make a playoff push.
What we we have been seeing out there is what many of us called between letting Lin go and signing the Geriatrics.

Lin was younger(3 years), had a lot less experience and played just as well as Felton did. If anything, it shows Lin in a better light.

Why is that Lin can play IN THE SAME BACKCOURT as Harden but cant play with Melo? Maybe just maybe Melo is the problem

Harden is a good play-maker who compliments all teammates like a superstar should.

The fact is that once again people are screaming for a legit PG to run the team. Lin may not be there yet but you can reasonably expect him to improve. With Felton you get what you see. There is no improvement.

Their stats for the year are about the same. OK, Felton costs less per year but what good is that if you need to get another PG to run the show?

Bonn1997 @ 2/21/2013 8:06 AM
Felton takes more shots. Don't let that mislead you into thinking the stats are the same. Their sabermetric numbers aren't remotely close.
