Exactly what I spent all offseason saying

Their stats for the year are about the same. OK, Felton costs less per year but what good is that if you need to get another PG to run the show?

I did not want Lin to go either. I was of the opinion that finally a PG was here. Kidd and Prigs could back him up.

Now they have a mess with Kidd playing the 2 and Prigs never getting time. There is no set rotation seemingly.

It is very depressing indeed

Lin: Record of 30-26. 12.6 points, 6.2 assists, 3.4 boards, 1.9 steals and 2.9 turnovers per game. Player Efficiency Rating of 14.85.

And you mean to tell me that Jeremy Lin is getting paid more than DOUBLE the amount of Raymond Felton? That's a laughable joke.

Lin: $25,123,938 over the next 3 years.
Ray: $12,540,000 over the next 3 years.

Updated PER- Felton: 15.09, Lin: 15.06

Lin's getting better and better in his first year getting starter minutes. Felton is who he is at this point. Let's admit it. Knicks made a mistake in shortsightedness. If your point is we got a bargain basement PG and so we should be happy he's exceeding bargain basement expectations, then I can only suggest you raise your taste level.

All this could have been avoided if we moved to sign Lin the second we won the early bird case. Instead we focused on the pipe dream of signing 40yr old Nash and trading Shumpert to boot. If Houston still came with the poison pill then we should have matched anyway. This team is capped out for 3yrs anyway which is why Lin expires along with the rest of them. Dolan is an ahole and anyone else who felt Lin would steal the spotlight from Melo

Great point.

We were so close, had the case go our way and what did we do?

Thread moved. And righfully so. Thank you.

Totally agree, specially guys like (Melo, Felton and JR) who resented that Lin was getting the attention he did. At the end Linsanity is in a much better place, playing with a TRUE UNSELFISH superstar in Harden, and for a franchise that’s committed to develop him. GO LIN.

Yup Yup. Oh well. I am enjoying watching the Rockets right now. The things is, we could have been that team. What if we kept Gallo and crew and still somehow got Lin here? Dang.

LIN takes 22 shots and he is a star.

Westbrook/Jennings/Felton take 22 shots they are chucking.

You are too funny. At least you are consistent.

Felton is only 29 years old? I thought he was at least mid-30's.

This thread was brilliant- lets update it with Lin's 2 most recent games following the one that inspired the initial post.

FG 4-11 (36.4%) 3PT 0-2 (0%) 6 AST 5 TOs 9PTS
FG 2-9 (22.2%) 3PT 1-3 (33.3%) 6 AST 2 TOs 5PTS

Oh wait a minute...

Look rule one of basketball is players will have their ups and downs- they're not as good as their best games, and not as bad as their worst games. All I ask for is that we judge our own players and players on other teams by the same standards. Felton and Lin are about even this season, Lin has more upside, Felton is cheaper. Don't really think we'd have a different record at this point if you switched them.

Let's wait until Lin has another great game, in the same week DLee and Nate get renamed POTW, and Landry Fields is suddenly ahead of everyone for 11th Man of the Year award.

Oh yeah, and Gallo is named Most Improved Player of the Decade!

And Moz is back to beasting in the Russian league!

That's not going to happen. No matter how well Lin plays, Coach McHale is going to pull him out of the game. A 12 for 12 shooting game by Lin means = BENCH TIME.

Lin has scored in single digits in his last three games and in two of them got just 20 minutes. 11 turnovers and 15 assists in those games. Is he struggling or is Beverly just playing that much better?

Lin's playing bad to ensure he at least gets 20 minutes. Apparently, if he blows the occasional near triple double out his azz, Captain McHale (a known accomplice of Melo's ridiculous contract theory) tosses him off the boat.

I thought Linsanity was finally pronounced DOA about a month ago?
