Knicks send:
Melo $19m
Novak $4m
Prigioni $476,004
Total $24m
Wolves send:
Derrick Williams $5m
Ridnour $4m
AK47 $10m
Roy $5m
Buddinger $942,293
8th pick
Total $24m
Minnesota gets a star/"superstar" whatever you wanna call it to pair up with Love, Rubio and Pekovic
A shooter in Novak who will work well with Rubio
Knicks get major cap relief
future star PF Derrick Williams
Savy starting PG who can knock down shots consistently 46% shooter
and the 8th overall pick in this years draft
Thats all I got for now. Going to work on seperate Tyson and Amare trades brb
yea lets trade the 3rd best player in the NBA

Why even bother with the melo trade scenarios? He's not being traded, it's an exercise in futility.
I re-worked the trade to include Prigioni since Minnesota is losing Ridnour
Thank you for fixing the thread title. I started looking for that ledge again until I realized it was hypothetical.
We're never trading Melo, for better or worse, til death do us part.
lol sorry I didn't mean to give anyone a heart attack

How could we trade Chris Paul, he's on the Clippers.

LOL
By the way this is not because I hate Melo. Just making the most of our only real trade asset. Tyson & Amare are not netting us a #1 pick
Something like this briggs
Prigs isn't even under contract next year i dont think.
Nice deal to put us back into the lottery.
Snatching defeat from the jaws victory..
Derrick amd 2 first rd picks back in the lottery?

We lose Melo for that package and it's a rebuild that puts us in the lottery. Without him we are a 30-win team. If you're lucky that package gets us back to where we are now in 3-4 years if we draft well.
I suppose you are right if you are happy where we are now with a $100MIL uninsured amare swallowing the cap and not being able to produce on the court. Again this is not about piling on Melo but trading one of our only valuable pieces. Why not get a head start on rebuilding this offseason with a budding star PF in Derrick Williams and a first round pick to go along with our first round pick and tyson and felton and shumpert
As opposed to waiting til 2015 and risk getting it wrong again like how we struck out on lebron and settled for $100MIL UNINSURED AMARE

I see your point i just think you are better off keeping your star and getting creative to build around him. Trading him doesn't solve the issue.
