Knicks · theory about home and road record (page 1)

since teams with good road records are good defensive teams:

i believe it can be asserted that, for the most part, teams with good home records are good offensive teams.

therefore the spurs should be considered the best team on both ends of the court because they have good home and road records.

with that said, matchups notwithstanding, and in no particular order or ranking but just clumping together:

1) spurs truly doesn't matter home or road
2) thunder doesn't really matter home or road
3) miami needs to secure home court unless they can flip the switch which it appears likely they can, in which case it doesn't matter

4) indiana needs to secure home court-- for a team that is touted as a good defensive team, their road record says otherwise
5) denver needs to secure home court-- unlikely they will catch memphis in which case it could be a first round exit for them this year

6) chicago is an anomaly
7) memphis is an anomaly but less than chicago is

8) knicks are in trouble home or road

Are you saying on the road (but not at home) defense is more important than offense? What is the evidence for this?
I'm not aware of support for any claims that one side of the court is more important than the other (e.g., the "defense wins championships" claim).

The Spurs are nothing but a regular season team at this point, they get exposed in the playoffs eventually, ever since they opted for more offense and less defense.

There really is no theory to be made on teams home and road records.

and how is the Knicks in trouble when there are only 9 teams with a winning road record and the Knicks are currently one of them?

They only have 12 road losses and that is good for being 1 game behind all the ones in front currently.
