How you like dem two words to say a whole lot of nothing?
Fuck it. I've had it with Woodson, we should fire him before he ruins someone's career running them into the ground.
Funny

Oh, let's discuss that. We've seen plenty of small lineups since Tyson Chandler went down, but tonight was the apex of small-ball. If we note that Martin played just 23 minutes and Marcus Camby played zero and agree that Melo isn't a "true" power forward, the Knicks played 25 full minutes without a genuine big man out there. We saw three-guard lineups, four-guard lineups, and - for the 90 seconds or so toward the end of the first half... (wait for it)...
a FIVE-GUARD LINEUP. Raymond Felton, Pablo Prigioni, Jason Kidd, J.R. Smith, and Iman Shumpert all shared the floor late in the second.
That is the shortest possible lineup Mike Woodson can play without turning to an olive or a child from the audience. No, really, look at the Knicks roster. You cannot assemble a shorter five-man unit. By my count, that lineup was a +3 in 1:34. WOODY DID IT.

Nothing less than a team effort. thank you jrodmc, for the sweet dish.
the project from Freehold NJ, Earl Smith, is playing like an all star on both ends
49 wins and counting

Woodson is legit. He got guys the training they needed to be successful. He broke some guys in. He tested his vets. He knows what he has. This team is for real.
Mo'fo has Earl Smith
thinking like a basketball player for the first time in his 9 year professional career.

Scary version?
This team can be even better.
Camby and Kenyon Martin are desperately needed to take the heat off Tyson Chandler in the second season.

Woodson has a better rotation, shorter, and everyone know there role.
If Amare and Sheed comeback, thats when the trouble may start..
Woodson has been legit. We got vets. They know when to turn it up.
Too Short ("Nothing But A KMart Thang")
Chandler and Martin together now you know you in trouble...

"I was playing Kenyon Martin [a lot] because I was desperate and didn't know where else to go." - Head Coach Mike Woodson
6'11 Amare Stoudemire is toast. He may claim to feel phenomenal, but some know better. All that matters is the Knicks are back.
6'11 Marcus Camby probably has 15 good minutes in his fragile feet. Inactive Friday. Same for Sunday. In Case of Emergency Break Glass.
6'11 Rasheed Wallace holds down the Harthorne Wingo Memorial Chair. Anything he brings is gravy.
6'9 Kurt Thomas enforces the Charles Oakley Law. No layups for his 6 minutes of funk.
6'9 Kenyon Martin gives us Junkyard Dog-like adrenaline with hot sauce. He's here to pump (clap) you up.
Veteran Leadership
Rasheed Wallace was the elder who went off at halftime, shouting at his teammates to get it together after a raggedy first half.
Did anyone else catch his emotional act on the bench during the second half?
Homey don't play that
Now Is The Time
“(Rasheed Wallace) is getting there. He still has a ways to go. It all depends on how he comes out of today’s workout and we’ll see how he feels tomorrow... I think he’ll be fine. You just can’t play him big minutes. But I think anything from 10-15 minutes, Rasheed being on the floor, would be a positive for our ball club.”
- Coach Mike Woodson
damn earl...if sheed is able to contribute we're even more dangerous...
exactly

Presike - the best part about having Sheed available is that we have someone to keep Garnett in check when he tries his intimidation act. Rasheed gives us an enforcer to keep the peace, or not.
You cannot teach crazy.
