No matter how one slices it, in this mans non-stop NBA, knee debridlement and/ or drainage sound ominious.
While some (you know who you are) complained Mike Woodson should start Stoudemire, the coach put Stat on a 30 minute pitch count. That did not work. "Paging Dr. Vinnie Boombatz, Dr Boombatz... please pick up the orange courtesy phone..."
Carmelo Anthony tried to soldier through pain for only as long as he knows. One thing is fo' sho', when knees start to bark, you better answer. Anthony is now a victim of his pride and stubborness. Carmelo could be lost for a few days, if not weeks. So, we are left with the NYK supporting cast.
Name your starting five and the players (in order of appearance) who you trust to get the job done. Please include your rationale for your rotations. This invitation is for Kung-Fu Jedi Knights only. You know who you are.
Note: Fantasy league participants are prohibited, cause this ain't fantasy.
Bonus: You have one (1) roster move you can make. Any entries that include Delonte West will be automatically disqualified.
All submissions are considered on the basis of creativity, nuance and entertainment value. In the immortal words of Jack Buck, (as Ozzie rounded the bases) "Go crazy people, go crazy!"
StartersPrigioni, for the first eight minutes, he and JR compose The Odd Couple
JR Smith, Iron Man is also hurting, but he maintains a stoic expression
Chris Copeland, already bonded with Prigioni on the pick and roll
Steve Novak, let's see how he responds as a starter, why not space the floor with him?
Chandler, for rebounding
Reserves
Felton, with the green light
Kidd, floor management and rebounding
White, defense
Kurt Thomas, plays well with the next man...
Camby, rebounding
Pine Brothers
Rasheed, get well soon, homey
Acquisition: Henry Sims, yeah, Henry Sims. What do we have to lose? "Although Sims struggled in New Orleans... (he) had four points and two rebounds during brief stints in two games with the Hornets, missed all four shots he took from the field and finished with no points and five rebounds in 17 minutes." Rebounding and defense.

Knicks beat the Heat by 20 at Miami without Carmelo and Amare--no excuses. The Spurs sit their star players all the time--but they still win. We have a 75mm $ roster and evidence that we can win without either man--so whats the problem? I mean we just won by 30 without either of them just the other day???
Starting:Chandler (sit down Kurt, and don't look at me like that)
Kenyon (Hey didn't want you back? Does that make you angry? Say hi to Gallo for me when he comes flying down the lane...)
Novak (Someone has to shoot the ball, besides...)
JR (Step back, step up, drive it to the hole son, is eight assists tonight asking too much?)
Felton (dam your hands, full speed into those light baby blue jerseys)
Bench:
Camby (can't teach height, and Sheed's on crutches, party like it's 1999)
KT (gimme 6 fouls that matter!)
Cope (shoot, then shoot some more; let the geriatrics play D)
James aint White (relax, drive, crash, maybe get a steal or two when Cope's man isn't expecting any coverage?)
Prigs (Cope loves you, maybe a few pick and pops with that NCAA scoring champion from 1967?)
Please don't suit up Herb!
Oh Snap (nice catch dagger)
BRIGGS - The Answer Man must say he is mortified that you, of all people... the ORIGINAL GM/trader Joe, would not submit a rotational solution to the Knicks current dilemma. No excuses are implied or suggested. This is simply an invitation for how you would fill Mike Woodson's suit on the sidelines if you had the opportunity. Excuses?
Really BRIGGS?
Me thinketh thou doth avoideth the question to put your lineup (and rationale for your lineup) on the proverbial line.

What about Kmart?
Revised Reserves
Felton, throw it down young man, throw it down
Kidd, ease up on the threes
J White, nice shoes
Kenyon Martin, go ahead, foul away, no layups...
Camby, 'sup Hartford?
Pine Brothers
Kurt Thomas, in case of emergency break glass.
Rasheed, see you with the Easter Bunny
why's everyone freaking out?
just gradually phase young blood in and let them learn from professionals. Look at the Celtics or Spurs... they should be lotto teams by now but they keep drafting guys who get taught by professionals. I'm sick of this tear it up mentality. Probably won't win us a chip this year but that doesn't mean the foundation sucks
Freak Out

SupremeComm - nobody is freaking out on this thread.
Nor is there ANY evidence of an impending freak out, anywhere on this thread. The "freak out" thread is down the hall to the right.
Got lineups?
