Looks like Pat will be working with MSG after March 20 (vs. Orlando) and March 31 (vs. Boston).

It will be nice to see him and Clyde on the same broadcast.

Me too - he is still my favorite Knick of all time.

Awesome. I may not see a game until 3/20 because of this west coast trip. I remember Pat being a part of the broadcast team for a summer league game back when he was a player. One of the things he said was that he might want to get into announcing after his playing career.

I always wondered if Ewing ever forgave the Knicks Brass when he was traded away and didn't retire as a Knick
IronWillGiroud @ 3/14/2013 8:15 PM
Looking forward to this, Ewing is a good guy and he's my favorite Knicks player of all-time. Well, maybe second favorite, after Gallinari, oh, what could've been :(
IronWillGiroud @ 3/14/2013 8:18 PM
But I think Ewing will be a great commentator, he has a chill personality

I wonder if Ewing ever forgave himself for forcing a trade on Knicks brass, being a dick, and not retiring a knick?

Look up the history man, the proud man was not able to handle being a role player. Wilt did it, Pat could have.

You are correct Nalod, also he had a MAJOR EGO, a friend of a former player told me he use to walk around saying he built this house back in the mid 90's. This is why he may have put the hoodoo voodoo on the Knicks for not allowing him to retire as a knick ..

This is awesome ! Finally
skeng @ 3/15/2013 6:17 AM
Fantastic! At least we can listen to Pat talk if our guys do decide to take those particular nights off.

I wonder what he's going to say?

I wonder if he cuts woodson down as he really wants that gig!

I saw Bill Cartwright is coaching in Japan. He wants to stay in the game.

As a huge ewing fan i rather not have him coach a team owned by Dolan. It will be a messy divorce one day when the coach is scapegoated for the poor roster construction and his knicks legacy would be jeopardized
nyk4ever @ 3/15/2013 11:27 AM
you mean patrick CHewing?

smackeddog @ 3/15/2013 11:39 AM
Good, I need a boost! I like that he's been at games and on tv for us this season- it feels like the Knicks and Ewing are starting to reconcile.

i doubt mr. frazier and mr. ewing have anything but a chilly relationship but maybe i'm wrong about that. i expect mr. frazier to be gracious regardless. we'll see about ewing.

Man, you even look for the negative in this!

i am anything but negative about mr. frazier. he's one of my childhood heroes. i had a poster of him in my room, backing down his man, hand on top of the ball with his fingertips just like he instructs, and with his head up-- he always had his head up-- looking for the open man.

an awesome man and the greatest knick ever. best of all he is a winner.

ewing? <sigh>

Ewing is getting a chance with the knicks.

He was offered the head coaching job of our Dleague which he rejected. He did some presesaon stuff which I caught and he was really not so good.

They do practice games as training and it would seem like he is ready to make a trail run at some live games.

Knicks are giving EWing a chance to come back to the organization. He is not head coaching material and we do have a coach already employed.

Is it good to have him back?

He won't help us win any games and We don't know how good he will be on TV so we'll just have to find out.

I really don't get all warm and fuzzy about this, if he is good he get more opportunity.
