Knicks · GAME THREAD: Knicks end road trip apocalypse vs Jazz, save fans from depression 10.30pm (ET) Monday (page 1)

Like a failing, desperate businessman about to go bust, I have been bargained down from hoping for 5 wins on this road trip, to settling for a single digit victory over the Jazz, following 4 consecutive blow out horrors.

Lets end this nightmare- honestly the worst road trip I can remember- with a win.

IronWillGiroud @ 3/18/2013 1:14 PM
It's gonna be tough, their big guys will have all our asses
IronWillGiroud @ 3/18/2013 1:14 PM
I think this game is more difficult than Clippers game, Jazz are in the heat of the playoffs battle, Clipps were content to put on a slam dunk show against us

If Novak can channel the spirit of Jeff Hornacek, Felton the spirit of Deron Williams in his prime, Prigs the spirit of Stockton, and Kurt Thomas the spirit of Karl Malone, then victory will be ours...

Okay, so the latest is Kurt Thomas is most likely out with a sprained ankle, so I guess we're going to have to say 'Camby man' three times in front of the mirror and hope he magically becomes the Camby of 5 years ago for this game.

I'm not staying up to watch this crap.

I can honestly see this team losing the rest of the March games.
jrodmc @ 3/18/2013 2:37 PM
I honestly think we can run the table for the rest of the season.

And I now know why no one posts pics of Jazz dancers.

depends on healthy we get. I'd love to agree with you but i still need to see this team prove it like they did in the beginning of the season. i need to see a 6 or 7 game winnings streak to really get their juice back

What the heck?!

Anthony, the NBA's second-leading scorer at 27.5 points per game, will miss his fifth game in the Knicks' last seven with a right leg injury. Anthony also said that the fluid drained from his right leg late last week was not from a knee issue, but one involving his hamstring.

Ah so it turns out the fluid build up was related to a hamstring issue- knee is fine.

smackeddog @ 3/18/2013 3:28 PM
Starting lineup:

Felton, Prigs, Shump, Cope and K-Mart- just to crush those last remnants of hope any of us had...

I need to hear from the anonymous surgeon before I start to believe anything.

Isola says Knicks fear Kurt has a stress fracture in his foot- will have MRI when they get back to NY. Frees up a roster spot, but it would be a shame to see his career end like that.

I'm beginning to think Murphy's Law should be renamed Dolan's Law.

smackeddog @ 3/18/2013 5:32 PM
Ha, Isola on rare form today:

"But what do I know, the under 30 crowd chants "MVP" in November, prays for Henry Sims and runs around saying Knickstape"

Said Kurt played vs Griffin knowing he probably had a broken foot- old school toughness.

If he's done, cut him, keep him as an assistant coach/ Baron Davis II, cut James White and sign Delonte and whatever PF/C is out there.

Thomas was an assistant for Nelson and the Mavs when he started his career because of his bad ankles. Amazing that the guy has lasted this long. Making him a coach for the rest of the season and revisiting his desire to play next year would be best.
