I hope Anderson was on the scouting report. He has done this every time he plays the Knicks.

i remember going to the games and watching him and Sugar ray richardson in the backcourt.. they were one tough duo...

Ray was no joke.. I remember at a tournament in harlem, I think it was Kings Towers, Ray got dunked on by playground legend, Artie"the grasshopper" green... Ray broke artie's nose...... ray was a tough customer...

Very sorry to hear that Crush...I have a very close friend whose mother passed away a year ago from colon cancer..So she is at that age and saw a doctor about the same thing and found non cancerous polyps in her colon...She had to have a percudure to have them removed..Her doctor advised her to have her brother checked out as well and he too had non cancerous polyps which could turn into cancer...These things can run in the family and needs to be monitored..So be careful and get checked out yourself and stay checked out...

I have a cousin going through this disease right now. Already had surgery to remove it completely and has tumors on his lungs and liver....As of now he's progressing through treatments but it's tough. I hate cancer and dread the day I may have to deal with it. Supposedly it's hereditary. Seems inevitable you'll catch it sooner or later.

Sorry Crush I must say wouldn't have known unless you stated otherwise. God has plans for the living and the dead rest assured.

Thanks everyone for all of the advice and condolences. 3G I hope things are ok with your cousin. A couple of positives that I should mention with my sister's situation. She had fantastic care and I can't say enough about the people at Calvary Hospital. My sister was in hospice there for almost a full month. The staff was wonderful and kind. Most of my family is upstate now(Rochester/Syracuse area) so visiting was a bit hard. The staff there provided us with a roll away bed so that we could stay with her when we visited. Their kindness was amazing.

Note the quality of opposing players in the photograph

The Answer Man taught art at Fourth Street playground in Mt Vernon, where most of the children rarely held a paintbrush.

Back in the day, Answer Man was in the gym at the U of MN watching Kevin McHale, Osborne Lockhart and Ray dominate.

The Knicks guards threw alley oop passes to each other, just to keep themselves entertained. We should have never traded Clyde, but kept him as a mentor.

Gone too soon.

yea, it seems if you live long enough it is either cancer or heart disease.. I lost my mom in 2001 to cancer, that is when I joined these forums for an outlet... my mom never smoked nor did she drink, and she died of lymphoma... my dad smoked for many, many years and is alive and going strong... go figure... although I am happy, just crazy how things turn out...

This is a great place to take a break and forget about things like that.
