Just about any big in D League would be more attractive than this scrub...
Singleton and Warrick are 9th/10th man options vs a 15+ man and a waste of a roster spotI guess we are looking at James White, Solomon Jones, 3m in cash that we can use in the summer, and the trade exemption for Ronnie Brewer/along with the 2nd round pick from OKC for a player
hopefully it is enough to take a shot at someone like
Brandon Rush
who is recovering from surgery and in a contract year of 4m/expiring to clear some salary from GS so they can resign Jack without going over the tax bracket
I don't understand what you're worried about with this move. It's just another big to allow us to play without having Melo have to play C. It's not really important how good he is as an overall player. He just needs to be an athletic big that can absorb some minutes for us.
We don't know that SIngleton won't still be added. At this point i'm trusting Gruny on this. We've only got a few more games to go so his or any players impact will be minimal.

If I were NY i'd see what ex net, ex knick Shelden Williams is doing, last
seen on france team 2012 according to websites
though Williams just 6 9 1/2 PF but played more Center , defends blocks
& did well in limited min. & few starts when Amare went down few yrs back.
Shelden also a physical guy/playa & knocks opposing foes to their ass
on fouls at times, only 29 yrs old .
Ny need D & physical presence guys, bigman. Shelden is experienced
dont know what Brum Grundwald sees in Jones other than ex woodson player
whom can shoot but gets pushed around in paint. Who needs that eh ?
Jones is Center as 0' as a move as Singleton move which did not happen?
you just linked to a 2006 summary of the guy.... this is a nonsense post.
yea Martin
but what is this guy in nba? or what's he done for his basketball job?
He isnt being signed by knicks coming in with an identity like if he's
a rebounder Or scorer Or shotblock role player.
with few teams he been on.. since 2006, this isnt only nonsense post up
here,
Only woodson knows the player & at 6 10 or which yes been around since 2006 where
he been around is mystery?
Why sign guy like that? other than signing cause he is 6 10 center height
for insurance
.. not even Jerome Jordan part2
some are saying singleton had some red tape issues getting cleared from his Chinese contract

This guy is not here to set the world on fire. He's here to give us some minutes so we don't burnout our key guys. He'll have a really simple role. Just do the dirty work, defend, grab boards, block shots and finish the occasional alleyoop.

he may not be fully out of his contract from playing in China. FIBA rules and such, which the NBA honors
Knicksfan wrote:What's red tape issues?
Aparantly when he signed in China, the team claimed it was a 2 year contract, which he denied at the time. Guess the Chinese league thinks otherwise.
A former Atlanta Hawk?
Noooooooooooooooooo....!
(then again, The Answer Man was dead wrong about Kenyon Martin)

I think everyone that actually followed the Knicks when they became irrelevant was wrong about Kenyon Martin. I hated that dude when he was the Nets and thought he embpodied everything ugly and vile in this world - apparently I was wrong and he embodies passion and ferocity and I now am a huge fan of his. Who woulda thunk it?

Supreme - could it be the uniform?
Or maybe there is something to having a roster of veterans who appreciate the fierce urgency of now.

Totally agree. I think he is my favorite player and I couldn't stand him when he was Net and thought he stole money from the Nuggets because all he could do was run and dunk off of Kidd passes. Totally wrong about the guy but his laughing at Zo when he was trying to make a comeback with the Nets still bothers me a bit.
He's playing tonight according to Woodson.
Jonah Ballow@jonahballow3m
Woodson says Solomon Jones will play tonight #Knicks
Anothe old dude waiting to get injured, that will cure world hunger, that will.
I misses the game how did jones look?

Rusty. He flew in, put on a jersey and played. Not anything memorable but he got 12 minutes and was in in the first quarter so I think he will see time at least for the final three games. I kind of hope the Knicks find a way to bring in Singleton as well.
