Knicks · Solomon Jones waived... (page 1)

not sure what this is about.

New York Knickerbockers Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations and General Manager Glen Grunwald announced today that the team has waived forward/center Solomon Jones.

Jones, 6-10, 245-pounds, appeared in two games (one start), recording three rebounds over 26 minutes.

The roster stands at 14 players.

Wow, that was quick!

He was ungood, so I'm not terribly surprised.

BRING KURT THOMAS BACK!!!

That's weird. I assume a lot of guys will be resting, so why would it hurt to keep him on the roster...unless they want to pick up someone else?

Probably signing another player.

Im pretty sure they found out how much he sucked. Hopefully Singleton or Sims or someone with talent is signed next.

He did nothing to help.

Im sure they will be announcing a signing today, just hope the guy can play today.

I know some are expecting Sheed or maybe even Camby to play today but they shouldn't play heavy minutes, or any minute at all.

This is the best game to have your bench play heavy minutes, so I understand the confusion. Simply hope the get that somebody today.

AND HERE WE GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Vin Baker/Ima Udoka/Jackie Butler/Randolph Morris/Kelvin Cato/Fred Jones/Cheik Samb/Mo Sene/Courtney Sims/Marcus Landry/Earl Barron/Derrick Brown/Jared Jeffries/Solomon/Singleton

What do they(late season signings) all have or will have in common?

NOT BEING ON THIS TEAM LONGER THAN YOU CAN BLINK YOUR EYE AND YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE LATE SEASON SIGNING BANK!!!!!!

Am i missing something:

1	Carmelo Anthony, SF
2	J.R. Smith, SG
3	Raymond Felton, PG
4	Tyson Chandler, C
5	Chris Copeland, SF
6	Kenyon Martin, PF
7	Steve Novak, SF
8	Iman Shumpert, SF
9	Jason Kidd, PG
10	Pablo Prigioni, PG
11	James White, SG

12	Marcus Camby, C
13	Rasheed Wallace, PF
14	Amare Stoudemire, PF
15	Kurt Thomas, PF

It's good news. It means our real bigs will be healthy come playoff time.

Weird timing unless we sign someone before tonight's game. Maybe we were just buying Singleton some time to sort out his letter of clearance from China.

King Solomon didn't show anything and looked like a scrub, but I kind of feel bad for him (or any player who thinks they've made it only to get cut 2 days later).

How about just signing Patrick Ewing JR? Feel good story.

First Gallo, then Lin, NOW THIS?!?!? I'm done with this team!

Kurt Thomas was waived

Players that Knicks could pick up for playoffs to help us this year and use with 2nd year player option in summer trades
I think adding a Forward, SF/PF, then a G/F would make more sense, especially to use to defend Lebron
I guess we are happy with White since he has been with the team since day 1 but he simply is garbage, but this late in the season probably would feel safe to not have to learn plays and to play with each other, since White most likely will not play unless in blow outs or to give a quick foul

Warrick
Singleton IF he get's his 2nd year cleared up from CBA
Dominic McGuire

PG/SG

Delonte West

We have a lot of PF/C already coming back, I know we cannot rely on them for major minutes but like Briggs said with
These 3 have shown they have played well at C and stepped up when the other went down

Martin
Chandler
Copeland *wish we had a team option on him which would have been an asset had we been able to do so*

@ Center

in addition to

Rasheed
Camby
Amare

slowly brought back slowly, hopefully being good/healthy enough for SPOT minutes if needed after the top 3 (Martin,Chandler, Copeland) as the #1 choices
If needed, Hopefully some of these guys can contribute in a high level in LOW minutes by the ECF
As they continue to get healthy and then in better NBA shape

Players to use to get early bird rights for next season that CAN NOT contribute in play offs

Stephen Jackson
Greg Oden

Hope we can use the 2nd year non garuanteed contracts of White, whoever is replaced by Solomon, Brewer's trade exemption for, and OKC's 2nd round pick/ in addition to a future 2nd round pick in 2016 or 17

Brandon Rush *complete gamble as a buy low to clear cap for GS which would be recovering from knee injury on a 1year 4m deal*

Saw that Memphis just signed Willie Reed for the rest of the year. If we can boo Sacramento's Isaiah Thomas everytime he touches the ball, Willie Reed should have been the guy we locked up!

Dude couldn't produce in a WNBA game. So bad he gives bumass players a bad name.

Lol, didn't think he was bad for a 12th man. Hopefully it means we're getting some bigs back.

Not surprised, he sucked even for the last guy off the bench. There has to be someone out there that's playoff eligible and can contribute at least a little bit.
