We are asking again for you to stop with this one last time. You're interpretation of people's comments does not make them facts.
Who is we? You speak for everyone? So you are saying no one on this site praises Pablo to bash Ray on the low? Not one person? If it's even 1 out of 50 then my statement is correct. Can it be that you are the only person that can interpret what everyone's motives are on this site and why they say what they say everytime? Did you read the game thread ? Did you even see my other points about the offense in general and things that had nothing to do with Pablo or do you pick one thing out that you disagree with?
Dude. Andrew is the moderator and part owner of this site. Know your role.
gunsnewing wrote:Ray is a shooting guard in a pgs body. Only in the sense that he lacks court vision and looks for his shot despite being a career 40% shooter. So in reality he is not a very good sg either. It is what it is we won 54 games despite him. Maybe he can put up inflated numbers in Dantonis system again someday. Next year I would try to trade Tyson and Amare and upgrade at PG in order to compete for the durantion of Melos contract after he signs an extension in 2015
I have to disagree. Ray is a very good penetrater and looks to take it to the rim. A protype SG is a small wing player with Range.
Ray is not an all star pg nor a statistically great PG but has a lot of tools. He is not a wizard like Nash or Stockton but we got him at a good price because he is not.
He is very much a PG first and formose.
Thats fair but what im saying is felton is inbetween a pg and sg. He is neither imo. His strength is definitely penetration and pick and roll. If he ever developed a midrange shot he would be paid more than $4mil per but he is entering his 10th season
Heres what you want from your pg:
First and foremost court vision-seeing the floor and making the best pass not just a dump off. See kidd
Two you need your pg to be able to pull up and knock down a 15fter
Three penetration dish and finish check
Pick n roll check
Speed check
Defense and quick feet
3pt shooting
Heart check
Efficiency
Notice only 3 are checks
Therefore it is not unreasonable to suggest an upgrade at PG while Melo is a Knick.
Damn I wish we had the goods to get Chris Paul. We couldve but we jumped right in and picked up Tyson. Im ok with that because Tyson didbsomewhat change the culture of the team. We hadnt played D since JVG
We will go 3.5 since I lumped finishing off penetration and Felton is not a deadly finisher lol
I added to that post btw
I sure hope old age fright doesn't get added to the "reasons beating a 7th seed in the first round doesn't really count" thread, along with:
1) You just wait until Rondo comes back
2) We stole this series because actually PP's efficient (as well as 95% of the rest of the league) and Melo's not
3) KG was not KG
4) Doc threw the series because, deep down, he just loves Ray Allen
5) All that 'Boston's seasoned and dangerous' was just a bunch of hype

exactly. Because of the tragedy on Boston, we will not see the antics of the past. This will be a chippy but, respectful series. The only guys that will be getting it will be the Refs, who have been just "jobbing" the shyt out of the Knicks all season long.
