Why is nobody talking about the ZERO production we're getting out of the 30 mpg Kidd is playing in this series?
He's scored 11 points in the whole series, and 0 points each of the last 3 games. We need SOMETHING out of those 30 mpg.
Everybody's been talking about playing Cope more. If its me, I'd play Shrump more. At least the kid is playing with passion and making things happen with his defense.
He's like 60 years old!!!
You will get a good game here and there from him but at the end of the day, this guy is at the very end of his career!!

Kidds contributions are usually the little things that dont show up on the stat sheet. However, after game one, he hasnt had much of those either.

Because its all Melo's fault. Melo is taking shots away from Kidd. 
He is old. Will make a great coach tho
His rebounding is still off-the-charts but he's struggling at everything else.

If any player is costing us, it's JR, not Kidd. When he produces, Knicks usually win. I remember seeing some crazy stat, late in the yr, about the W-L record that supports this.
Once in a while, when you need it, he'll have a turn back the clock game. In between he'll help you out with his bball smarts- sometimes leading to rebounds or steals or good defense. Can't blast a 40yr old for not scoring every game.

Kidd has been stinking the joint up, he also plays better away from MSG, nerves has many players timid to make a play.
Shumpert should always be in place of Kidd, because kidd can't guard anybody who drives to the basket and he himself can't beat anybody off the dribble. That's another case of 4 against 5, just like when Novak comes on the court and doesn't make shots.

hes avg 2.1 pts 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 asists shooting 18% over nearly 29 minutes a game. He did have some nice steals in an early game with some quick hands--but hes hurt us by not hitting more shots.

hes avg 2.1 pts 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 asists shooting 18% over nearly 29 minutes a game. He did have some nice steals in an early game with some quick hands--but hes hurt us by not hitting more shots.
Hahaha. You said the same thing I did - you just have to convert the #s to per 36 (and correct the per game rebounding figure). Obviously his shot has been hideous. That's why I said other than scoring.

This thread is ridiculously over the top. Kidd has had basically the same niche on this team all season and I'm pretty sure scoring wasn't included in that, even though he is known to be clutch behind the ARC during his HOF career.
This is all about the shooting %s of JR and Melo. They looked like the .500 Knicks in game 5.
When JR shoots at %50 our record was 28-4.

When you are capped out you rely on the likes of JR Smith. It is what it is. Amare was a terrible signing
Don't bail on Kidd just yet. After a good start, Boston is making a concerted effort to keep Kidd from launching threes, that's where his production comes from. When we get more inside scoring it will open up the perimeter game. If we make it to the next round I think we'll see Kidd back to making a contribution.
I think Kidd is still valuable. I do wish Prigioni would get more minutes. He just does good things when he is on the court. It seems like he hasn't played much in the two losses.

People overlook Prigs production just because he plays a different style of basketball than what we are accustomed to.
He's been a winner all his career, if he plays 25-29 minutes he controls our tempo, shot selection and style of play. He plays alot we win big against Boston.
We got more out him and Prigioni when he is in there. Prigs can't pass up shots cause that hurts the team. Kidd has done a lot in leadership but he can't have 0 points given the minutes he's playing.
