You said it worked (past tense). If you were to claim it hasn't worked but you think it will in the remainder of the series, that would be a different discussion.

This is how starks used to be. Time has been kind to him and stats cannot always tell a story, but Starks used to go cold and start getting t'd up at ill opportune times. We needed him as we need JR if we are to advance. The team need believe they can do it without him.

not sure I believe Woody^ but, I'm hoping that if he doesn't bring it, he will at least give Q a chance. I really would like to see if he can bring something positive to the table. Dude isn't a total bum

The defensive effort is what matters most and the Knicks have few options to compliment Shump on the perimeter. Pablo can snatch a few lazy passes and Kidd can deflect stuff better than 6'11 Jared Jeffries, but Smith is tough inside as well as around the arc.

In his four games since returning from a one-game suspension, Smith is averaging 13 points on just 26 percent shooting and has missed 18 of his 25 3-point attempts.

Two or three nice games, with a few quarter-closing or game-closing big shots, sprinkled with posterization dunks, and all of this will be a happy memory that will be seen as a great thing that kept JR's agent's mouth shut for a few weeks.

And if this little lull keeps him in NYC while we continue to win, so be it.

This is pretty much the story of JR's career. I know I was hoping that his hot streak to end the season was actually him turning the corner but I pretty much expected to come back down to reality. Never expected him to be this bad, though.

I won't feel so bad now, when the Knicks "only" offer him $5mill per.

That's as much a raise as he deserves for his performance on and off the court.

If some desperate team offers him more, don't let the door hit you on the ass!

Shump has proven to be more than a capable replacement, and potentially an upgrade.

And defense....Game 2 Pacers shot 45% compared to 50% in game 1. Also, we outrebounded the Pacers by 2 while in game 1 we sat at -14...We forced 21 TO's with a difference of 15 compared to game 1 when the difference in TO's were 6.....

It's definitely a travel, he moves his pivot foot(left foot) without dribbling.

All he needed was 1 dribble and that move would've been legal.

To top it all off, he gets the delay of game holding on to the ball, sending Woody into a rage.

JR hasnt been the same since Game 3 in the first rounf when he got suspended. He must have cleaned out a whole city bar during his days off. I understand having an off night but jr looks like he doesnt even belong on the court. I hope he gets it together by Saturday but with 3 days in between games god knows what jr has been up to
