While his ego maybe bruised he knows the pain would not be from a violent intruder but from the stab JR makes to his own self esteem. A young man who icewater chills in his veins and freezes his progress. The ink on his skin is a costume to hide what eats at him.
The sun will be up soon and there are things to do, but first he will do the only thing left, breath a sigh of releif the young man is safe one more nite and check in on the young man.
He goes to young JR's room. He sees Melo is not home and likley lowering his cholesteral with a late nite snack. Jr is fast asleep. Woodson tucks in the young man and tilts his head to the side. Nobody chokes on their own vomit while woodsons on the clock! Nobody!
Ive been to 40/40 a million times. Its a hiphop club with places to a lounge. For sporting events it turns into a viewing party. Its probably not the biggest deal but it just looks bad

If its before a big promotion, needs to show his sales records before asking for a larger commision, or is negotiating with another company then he loses leverage.
If he is part of a bigger department and they have been preparing for him to lead making a big presentation which he bumbles, then has another chance to make that presenation and is seen out partying then its a problem.
If he does not want more money, or advance taking on more reponsibilty and paid more then he can party all he wants.
