I think this could be the strongest case for us trying to pursue a floor general to help direct the offense. I like Melo's game but he holds the ball too damn much on occasion. We need a guy that can create shots for others to alleviate our iso-heavy offense and to get in Melo's face if need be when he deviates from this gameplan. Rajon Rondo anyone?

Anthony was asked about the comments on Monday.

But if he feels that way…we’re about to get together right now and discuss that amongst ourselves and figure that out. Just get his take his perspective on that comment. You're right. Consistency is the key with this team. However, we dont have many options at obtaining guys like Rondo. The oddest thing about Tysons comments, as Uptown said, is that Melo didnt even shoot that much. The shot distribution was actually pretty good. It seems like more of a problem with Tyson right now than anything else.
I guess Chandler missed some of these clips. Then again maybe it is a part of the offense to have Tyson stay 15-17 ft away where no one guards him and sag off to defend the paint?

You're definitely right about us not necessarily having many assets to obtain an elite floor distributor. What we need to do is get creative and figure out how to leverage other teams' situations to improve our bottom line. For instance, the Raptors leveraged the situation of the Grizzlies and Pistons to obtain Rudy Gay, a far superior player to anything they gave up. We should be looking at malcontents with superior talent in the league (e.g. Brandon Jennings, Pau Gasol, Danny Granger, etc.) and figure out ways of redirecting them to other teams in order to get what we want (e.g. Rajon Rondo).
As much as our players are underperforming, I think the bulk of their failures rests on Woodson's shoulders. The guy has historically been an awful playoff coach and is cementing that reputation here in New York. His pre-game and in-game adjustments are atrocious, two skills that are imperative for playoff success.

Keon Clark was horrible. Tyson's having a horrible series but calling him horrible is ridiculous. I've seen Tyson make an occasional low post move or spin move on offense. I think he can do more and hit at least in the upper 40% but that's obviously not the role he's been given on this team.
