Knicks · KNICKS VS INDIANA GAME 4 @ Indiana 7:00 PM: TAKE BACK HOME COURT AND PUT THE PRESSURE ON THE PACERS HEADING INTO MSG! (page 1)

OasisBU @ 5/14/2013 9:55 AM
This is it, the entire season rests on this game. We cannot afford to head back to MSG down 3-1 in this series. A win would re-energize the players and the fan base with a pivotal game 5 on our home court.

Keys to the win: Ball movement, slowing/shutting Hibbert down, consistency on offense and defense.

We cannot afford another disastrous display like game 3 - let's get back to Knick basketball and show the Pacers we mean business.

Release the Kracken!!!!

Cant wait for this game. One of the things the Knicks have been good at is shutting people up this season and this is the perfect game to do so.

Whats so damn funny about that "release the Kracken" is: Who's job is it to put the "Kracken" back in? I mean he is all locked up, mean as hell and huge.

Thats the problem with fables, they just don't tell the whole story!

So when Liam Neelson says "release the kracken"!!!! they need to have like Eddy Murphy go off like:

"PHuch that, you release him and get his sorry kraken ass back in the cracken doggy crate!" , or, "oooooow, release the craken!!! ok, Oh look, there no craken! Why no craken? Cuz boss man yell to release his ass but boss man don't got no way to get it back in! So who you yelling "release the cracken to?" Me? What, I look like the "Craken whisperer?", LIke we got a "Pound Puppies" of Crakens? You know how much a Craken eats? Needs his Craken rabies shots, his Craken treats when he a good Craken! How you think you exercise a Craken and then when you waive your boss hand and "Release" he just gonna kick some craken ass, stop and then just go get locked up? Remember that Old lazy craken you released once? We released him, he didn't want to fight, he took a big old Cracken shit in the middle of town and who gotta clean that up? Then he went to the market, ate every thing and everone and just went back into his cracken house like it was nothing. Took me a week to clean up that cracken poop! Im sick and tired of you just all cool and get to say "Release the Craken" and you don't even know what goes into it"!

smackeddog @ 5/14/2013 11:08 AM
We lose this one and we're done. Can't really point at any one player- the whole team needs to play better and do what we were doing during the win streak.

On a side note, I feel like the spacing out of these games has ruined the series. There's no momentum, no excitement, it doesn't even feel like we're still in the midst of the playoffs.

Some flash and interest to take Game 4:

Probably no Shumpert tonight with Knicks orthopedic doctor/butcher flying into Indiana to look at his swollen knee.

JR for 40

Al iannazone's twitter:

Woodson said the Knicks orthopedic surgeon is flying back from NY to examine Shumpert's knee.

Woodson said he is concerned about Shumpert. Soreness and swelling three days later are not good

Shots. His line will be 9 for 40.

Start Copeland if Shumpert can't go. We need another offensive threat out there,

Yup, with Shump out and k-mart weakened by flu, we're going to have to win this one with offense.

Can the Knicks find a way to maximize Melo's talent (gettin' buckets) without the offense turning into the other 9 guys on the court all watching Melo?

Kidd/Felton/Chandler/JR/Pablo all have to step up big because good teams with elite defenses will not let ONE guy beat them. We're going to need someone like Novak to have a huge game.

JR for 40 shots is similarly ambiguous!

I was going more with the drinking theme, but that works too.

As ever, I'm on the road Tuesdays and Wednesdays so I can't watch the game til Thursday. But I'm rooting for a win- the odds are stacked against us but I'm not ready for our season to go down in flames yet. We have to win this one by any means necessary! Watch out for Paul George to have a big game, so we'll need a few players to step up big time.
