I'm waiting for the can we get Stan Van Gundy thread. You know it's coming and the Patrick Ewing thread too.

Why would he ever want to come here? Especially after we (Dolan) chased him out of here when he was originally here. His current team is better than us with an actual MVP caliber player in Rose and much better players around him in Noah and Deng. Why, why, why would he ever want to come back here?

Thibs needs the right type of personalities.

I'll second what these guys said. Thibs would be a dream but he's not walking away from a better situation and while he's under contract for this. Stan Van Gundy might be a different story but I doubt Dolan wants a lose cannon like Stan, in the ranks. I've personally wanted Rick Adelman for years; maybe we have a shot if his wife's condition stabilizes.

Knicks had Thibs but hired Chaney at the time.
