Yup. We can only afford vet min type players at this point.
he solves none of our issues, he's not guarding any quick pgs, and he's not a big, and he's not star
callmened wrote:we cant afford him
Exactly, whole conversation is moot because we can't get him even if we wanted to.
JR, Little Cris and Cuz on the same team? That's reality tv material!

lets put it this way....i would trade ANYBODY on my team not named melo for cousins.
Caseloads wrote:http://theknicksblog.com/knicks/melo-looking-for-second-scorer-how-about-tyreke-evans/I think Tyreke might be a great signing. I think he's unrestricted FA. He'd be great at the 2/3. I've said this before, Tyreke would be awesome. He'd have to sign for the mid-level. Melo needs to get involved in recruiting.
Keep Shump.
Tyreke is ideal for this team as it stands today,
he's like a JR 2.0, between Tyreke, JR and Melo, you won't have a problem scoring the ball,
and we need to beef up the defense after that, maybe with a grunt down low to get his hands dirty,
chemistry does become a question because if my memory is so good today, Tyreke had some beef and cheese with some people before,
umm...tyreke isnt coming here...we cant afford him...and NO were not gonna trade for him...lol

people are putting his value near 10 mill a year.
we can only afford 3mil...LOL

Only way it is remotely possible is if you have 2 S&Ts that gives them Novak and JR and us Evans. I actually kind of like that trade for the Kings but its not going to happen and I don't know if two teams can S&T their players. It would fit under the Apron I believe.
I am not sure I like Tyreke at 10 million. Maybe 8 million if he wants to be a 6th man which I think he is suited for due to his defense and with the Knicks having Shump, hopefully back at 2.
I think Evans ends up in Detroit.
I remember Donnie was very high on him when he got drafted- thought he'd be a star. It's been all down hill since his first year, but then again that Kings environment is toxic.
