We might have blown it not giving Copeland the same type of deal. Hopefully he stays though.#
Sad that we couldn't turn White's contract into a 2nd round pic (Nice savings, 900k + cost of 2nd round pick + throw in a future 2nd, as they could then not pick up the option). Do teams hate dealing with us or what?

We know Grunwald tried. Maybe second rounders are becoming more valuable. The Knicks did get Leslie which was a huge coup and a guy they were thinking about taking at 24. I think the euro stash plan used by some teams made the pool of undrafted rookie free agents pretty good.

The thing with 2nd round picks is that teams don't necessarily sign them the way they do 1st rounders so there's really no savings for them.
