I see him as a fill in for Amar'e - which is needed in the short term. I don't see this as either the Knicks or Raptors losing this trade like everyone else in this thread... it's a lateral move. Gave up some marginal long term assets to marginally improve in the short term

Stop trolling. Barg is a huge piece of s.... No heart, no D, no rebounding, no FT, poor shooting. How is he a better gallinari? You must be trolling, obviously.
I think we added talent. I think we added guy who compliments our current players. Knicks jumped on a nice chance.

UPDATE From Marcus Camby's agent: "It's going to happen" regarding the trade. #Knicks
Call me optimistic ... but I think Bargnani does really well here. Sometimes being a part of a losing organization can have an effect on your play.
Only thing i hate about this deal is the draft picks. we need to work that out.
Another plus is that his contract is shorter and we are getting younger. Really can't complain too much.

lol who's IG is this?
Mine. That was how I found about this. That's from former uk great djsunyc or some such faggy handle
He should be ecstatic...

The Knicks had to give up something. The raps didn't get much on court help and have a longer salary commitment.

They pocket $7.5mil... overall plus get picks. Camby keeps on giving.
I do not want to go back another 10 years. This would be a stupid decision. I hope this doesn't play out. Us taking his salary is more than enough. Bargnani isn't worth a 15th round draft pick.
If we are adding another player, hopefully not Pablo nor Ñengo, then we might probably not include one or some of the.picks we were going to previously.
If that happens, its a solid deal.

I would really like to know.

You cry like lovesick schoolboys when Gallinari gets traded and then you cry over some low first-round pick when we get a better version of Gallinari back. The only real issue is the salary. But you can argue that it was already dead money since it was being invested in Novak and Camby.
Is this a troll post? You just called this guy a better version of Gallinari? Because that's the furthest thing from the truth.
Lol at you supporting the trading of 1st rounders. I guess Isiah didn't teach you the value of 1st rounders, did he?
One guy is 6'10" guy who shoots a lot of threes while the other is a 7'0" guy who shoots a lot of threes and always seems to get the better of the 6'10" guy when they play head to head: http://www.basketball-reference.com/play... Injuries aside, I thinks Bargs is tougher offensive matchup than the Rooster.
Sure...
http://www.denverstiffs.com/2013/1/12/3866818/inside-the-numbers-danilo-gallinari-denver-nuggets
If we look at Gallinari's RAPM over this year in comparison with other players in the league, Gallinari ranks a +1.7 offensively and a -1.5 defensively for a total of 3.2 (courtesy of http://stats-for-the-nba.appspot.com/). That ranks 29th in the entire NBA!
Yeah, I'm sure this nothing to do with playing with Ty Lawson, Andre Iguadola and Kenneth Faried. Aside from true shooting percentage, most of Gallo's other advanced stats are ho hum.

Exactly. I'm not getting upset about a pick that's more likely to turn into Mardy Collins than David Lee.

Like his scoring but he is also very injury prone liek Amare so i expect he will miss a lot of games
I'm going deep into wait and see mode on this one!

This is exactly people said about Vince Carter before he left Tornto. Just sayin'.....

Can't compare carter to barg. Carter was an all-star type player
Bargnani is 27 years old and a solid rotation player.
Novak and Camby are trash.

Thats not the issue. If we only traded novak and camby it would be fine but we had to give up 3 picks for a guy taht toronto was desperate to get rid of

Toronto doesnt need Novak and Camby. Without the picks Toronto has ZERO incentive to do the deal.
