J.R. Smith and his family are meeting with Mike Woodson and the #Knicks front office tonight to discuss his future in New York.

Well, either way the Knicks will probably lose him. I'd sign him for a 2 year, $10 million deal, nothing more. Nothing that eats into the summer of 2015. He'd also have to accept the bench role again, which he stated numerous times that he'd like to start.
If another team offers him $7 or $8 mill per, good riddance. The D league is full of swing men that can produce at JR's rate or even more efficiently.

I really don't look at what players do elsewhere...I care what they do when in a Knick uni...JR had a awesome year for us...He outperformed his contract by leaps and bounds, literally...He played poorly in the playoffs, but so did most of the team...

After 9 seasons of sample size, I think the universe might be right this time around.
Holfresh, not trying to be difficult, just stating the reasons why losing JR to free agency isn't that big of a deal, which is a real possibility.
