The Rich keep getting richer....Man the Lakers have to feel so inept as a franchise right now.
I haven't seen contract terms but read that his getting part of their mmle.

I can't believe he went for so little. I didn't even think he was available for anything close to that. I really don't know how the Knicks missed on this one. That one hurts.

He has history with CP3, and a lot of people like LA. He gets to learn more and be tutored by CP3 AND Doc. Plus with the moves they made this offseason they are contenders. It's a great fit for him.
I wanted him on our team too, but it's not always managements fault- not everyone wants to play for the Knicks or live in NY.
Hmm, is the money starting to dry up now? Does anyone know of a site that keeps track of how much money each team has left?

Good time to steal Monte Ellis on a short term contract.....
newyorknewyork@ 7/7/2013 10:04 AM
I really like what the Pistons have done this offseason. With Monroe, Drummond, Smith, Mitchell they are very strong and athletic in the front court. There Bigs are going to be flying all over the place.

They have a formidable frontline--they need a PG who create. They will be no pushover

Good god that would be nice. I really like Ellis. He reminds me of a poor man's Wade. If he gains a little maturity he can be a our starting PG. And we kill 2 birds with one stone.
Chandler Anthony Shawne/Delfino/Dahntay Shumpert Ellis
Smith, Felton, Bargs, Amare, Pablo, Hardaway.. just need one big and ugly...KMart come back!

Ellis is going to get more than 10mm per. We can't pay that

Going to have to start watching Pistons games on league pass.

For ALL of this talk about the Knicks improving the roster in unconventional ways... it sure has been a let down of sorts. We didn't get any worse.. so i guess i should applaud NYK Mgmt for that reason alone. Seeing that we usually sign or like to sign, old players w/ big names that generally don't match their games any longer.. or broken players w/ talent that rarely materializes.. i suggest calling up Allen Iverson's agent and getting him a tryout w/ NYK. What do we have to lose!

Yeah I think we knew about Prigs and Cope by this time last year. They were better than most first round picks. There was talk about a huge center that they had interest in.

We may have gotten worse. The only positive is that Shumpert will probably be healthier. However, we lost Copeland and probably K-Mart, added a really bad PF IMO, our veterans will be a year older, and many teams in the east improved. Unless there's an unforeseeable change, I'd predict 47 wins.

I don't know if they have lost Martin. He is still out there and for whatever reason has a reputation that causes teams to be cautious. Also, adding Bargs while getting rid of CAmby and Novak was a positive in my opinion.

I don't know who improved. I think the east is open.

In my opinion, losing Copeland isn't as bad a blow as losing KMart would be, that said.. we retained Priggy Smalls and JR Starks.. so at best we will field a team similar to the one last year. Losing Camby whom Woodson neglected to play, and Novak who had a lethal J but couldn't get his shot off consistently enough is a positive upgrade in favor of the trade. I like the 47 to 50 win range, as I feel like we overachieved last year. Breaking 3pt records as a team was an aberration.. hard to duplicate that feat. I'd be more comfortable with a younger, dynamic PLAYMAKING pg in the fold.. Someone like Beno Udrih, added defense from that position as well would offset the defensive shortcomings of Melo and Bargnani (Assuming they play together). WE STILL NEED INTERIOR TOUGHNESS. I like Tyrus Thomas, or Marreese Speights. WHILE adding a KMart return... HE is our most valuable free agent, and remains unsigned. smh
RonRon@ 7/7/2013 1:10 PM
The Bucks and free agent C Zaza Pachulia have agreed on a three-year, $15.6 million contract.
A deal worth roughly $5 million annually is a nice haul for Pachulia, who averaged 5.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 0.2 blocks with Atlanta last season before requiring Achilles surgery. He's expected to be healthy in time for training camp but his stats aren't likely to improve much as Larry Sanders' backup.
I think he is a solid underated body that bangs but was and currently is overpaid
