Spurs sign Jeff Pendergraph, so hopefully that's one less buyer for K-Marts services.

Josh Smith has agreed to a four-year, $56 million deal with the Pistons.

Wow, didnt see that coming. Another bad move by Dumars, but he seems to get away with blaming the coach every year!

Why is it a bad move. He actually does a lot of things well and at 14 million it is not a max deal. Now if they are tyring to play him at the three then yes.

y2zipper @ 7/6/2013 4:24 PM
Good value for Josh Smith, although it's weird he'd go there for reasonable money.
RonRon @ 7/6/2013 4:29 PM
very surprised Twolves signed AK47 for so much money last season and even more surprised he opted out of his contract of 10m this summer
don't think another team will sign him for that amount of money and give him a long term contract at his age, at least with that type of money

At his age, I think he closer to the full MLE type of money than 10m, maybe a team meets him in the middle for 2-3 year deal at best
But was a horrible financial move for AK47's part in my opinion
I think only a few teams have that type of money left, Spur's might be his best option for contending and fit's his skillset

reuniting the 2 backup undersized PF's (Chuck Hayes and Carl Landry) in addition for long term deals to Jason Thompson and Cousin's
I hope King's shock the NBA and do well with the addition of Greviez Vasquez and the more athletic Ray Allen in Mclmore
Because we own their rights for the 2nd round pick which is top 55 protected LOL

Smith is talented but awful shot selection kills his game. This is bad overpaying.

Don't know but with Greviez Vasquez and Mclmore, I think they actually have the talent on their roster as a TEAM that they didn't the past 5-6years

Vasquez
Mclemore
John Salmons
Jason Thompson
Cousins

Isiah Thomas
Ray Mccallom *complete steal, very similar to a poor mans Lilliard*
Marcus Thorton
Patrick Peterson
Carl Landry
Cole Aldrich

Jimmer
Chuck Hayes
Travis Outlaw

If they can manage to suck one more year and get #1 draft pick in a younger player like Rudy Gay's skills/potential in Andrew Wiggins
They just might be done rebuilding and be a 8th seed when they get their development done
Although I really hope they do well so we can get a 2nd round pick next summer

Would gladly take Isiah Thomas, Ray Mccallan, Patrick Peterson, off their roster for salary dump

even

James Johnson/Cole Aldrich

Isiah Thomas for Ronnie Brewer's exemption fits

Jarrett Jack agreed to a four-year, $25 million contract with the Cavs on Saturday.

The Warriors renounced his Bird Rights and wasn't expected to be back with the signing of Andre Iguodala. The Cavs didn't have much backcourt help with Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters last year, so this is a great landing spot for Jack. He gets a nice bump from his $4.5 million salary last season and his big postseason was probably a part of it, shooting 50.6 percent from the field for 17.2 points per game. Kyrie Irving is a bit injury prone and Jack will have some stand-alone fantasy value, so he'll be worth your attention in the later rounds of standard drafts.

Interesting to see how many players go for the money and not go to a good team.

It's amazing how many players they've got to sign there cheap in back-to-back seasons.

Livingston might be 3rd string.

I'm sad to see both Jack and Landry leave the Warriors. Iguodala makes up for some of their play but Barnes is going to have to avoid the sophomore slump. Throughout the season, Jack and Landry were more important overall than Barnes/Green/Ezeli combined but . . . though all of those guys, esp. Barnes, showed that they can play.

Those are huge losses for the Ws if u watched their games. Iffy does not equate both of them. Post scorer and quality scoring 3g
