they aren't talking about splitting the vet minimum...not sure that's even possible. They are talking about the mid level exception we still have.

I think we agree. Sorry if it wasn't clear. I was thinking 3.2 split equals 1.6.

I read Jared Zwerling's report that the Knicks plan on splitting that for Prigs and Cope which makes more sense. That way they can offer those 2 enough to stay. Otherwise they can only offer those guys a minimum salry. I don't see prigs going anywhere but Cope is a worry.

I do not think the Knicks will let K-Mart walk. He added toughness to team identity.
There is no reason why he cannot be featured as small forward to feature against offensive rebounding teams like the Pacers and Bulls.

Can't hurt if price is right. 15-20 min off the bench gives us depth up front. With Bargs can also give melo more rest.

He's trying to get paid(he has other suitors)...thing with Kidd we had enough money in the kitty to offer him an equal deal...beating a Vet Min offer is not difficult for teams to do.

The 76ers did play him at Center from time to time like we did with Amare. Its that 7ft wingspan that allowed him to be productive down low.
