so many other players going too like Noah, McGee, Ibaka, Durant, and others.
Hakeem making that money.

Hows it going to look when half the league is doing the dream shake..
Amare needs to spend some time with Mutumbo

Melo worked a lot with Hakeem in NYK's training camp last season You can youtube it, Hakeem came here to mainly work with Melo not the Knick's with 5 video clips
In the workout clips you can actually see Melo struggling to learn to footwork and philosophies of the moves During the season, he reverted to doing this "Melo's" way and to not utilize the teachings of the HOF that players continue to pay big bucks for his guidance
I'd be interested in seeing statistical evidence of whether he actually improved the low-post games of anyone he worked with.

Find someone with a synergy account or get one yourself then compare seasons before and after Hakeem.

IF CA is willing to work on his game and develop these skills with Hakeem's moves/training and understand the counter's/philosophy behind them it sure would help his efficiency, ability to create and facilitate, and change his image *selfish and only cares about scoring* a lot
one of his greatest weakness's his inability to make other's around him better players and this could change that
More importantly, it would add new dimension to his game and not allow the opponent's to predict when he will try to score/pass and create for others for deception, making him even harder to defend It would actually make him a #1 option with efficiency and leadership qualities that he has been lacking to go with his talent/scoring abilities
He also must be willing and be able to play OFF THE BALL and focus on DEF/REBOUNDING, instead of using most of his energy on just offense Melo constantly exerts his energy on trying to get the ball and staying stagnant, not attacking the opponent's DEF as a while

Just watching the Melo Hakeem clips and Melo looks so pathetic with his moves. This guys has been doing a lot of nothing for years.

I'm glad he's working on his game but he does look bad in the video. It looks like none of this comes easily or naturally to him. In the last video, it looks like Hakeem is trying to get him to learn too many things in each move.

LOL
yeah, you can see his poor footwork/hand eye coordination/understanding of the moves from his training with Hakeem
I applaud the effort and if he does work on developing these moves, it could only elevate CA's game His training with Hakeem was under the pay of The Knick's and not Melo's pocket

Learning these moves is only step 1. He has to be able to figure out in a fraction of a second what move to go to by reading the defense. That's much harder than simply learning to do the moves. I hope Hakeem works on that with him too.

That is the purpose of all of Hakeem's moves, there are counters that the defender must give if Melo is able to master them

The thing you notice is that Hakeem is trying to teach him how to go quick rather than pound the ball into the floor and take a tougher shot with a guy draped all over him. Hakeem is catching and going right into his series of fakes and drop steps etc. It's just such a higher level of post up than what Melo has been doing. Melo does some of this but not consistently. Hakeem almost always got a good shot, the shot he wanted rather than being forced to take what the defender wants you to take and that's what Melo has to change in his mental approach.
When Melo went quicker he was much more efficient. The holding the ball and going slow into his moves is what gets him in trouble. He has to realize he always has the advantage if he goes quick. All a defender can do is try to guess what he's gonna do. But if he holds the ball and lets the defender get all in his space, now he has a much tougher time. Also it allows help to come close off space. It all comes down to Melo letting go of holding the ball like he tends to do. That's gonna be the key to being a more efficient player.

It would be interesting to see multiple workouts to see if he gradually got better. Not knowing whether that is the 1st day or the 4th day is hard to criticize some trying to emulate someone. I am sure they taped the drills and workouts so it would give a better understanding of how someone learns. WIth a synergy account you could watch clips off his post ups to see if he incorporated what he learned.
Tow things I notice is that Hakeem is stressing to spin on the balls of your pivot foot and cuff the ball and not keep the two hands on the ball like players are more comfortable doing. Basically it is about creating separation with the least amount of steps. No little baby steps when you spin just use a sharp jab then quick spin off the pivot.

That is why they wear short short like Amare and tight shorts like Melo so they can record the foot work and see it.
