nice pick up. It seems like teams don't want Hickson for some reason. Maybe it's defense. I was thinking that Houston would try to make a run at him but I guess not.

well bonn, it gives them a situation where they can rotate both he and faried.. hickson is not a bad defender and he can rebound like a horse and is a better offensive option than faried.. it gives the nuggs options, and on the cheap...

They did no worse when you consider the salary and assets given up in the Bargnani trade.
At least the Nuggets have evidence of an improving young player, not a player where we're questioning his love for the game, his health, his ability to play at a high level consistently. See Hickson was a double double guy which means in order to be double double guy....he brought it pretty much every night.

We whacked it last yr when when arbitration ruled in our our favor for Novak and Lin. Grunny immediately proceeds to shell out 4yrs $16mil to a guy that does only 1 thing well and although fans didn't care for the contract overall, they were happy he got locked up because he helped spread the floor. We then trade this guy 1 yr later for essentially a malcontent who supposedly spreads the floor at double the cost when you factor Tax.

I would say Hickson more polished offensively but we never beefed over having 3 point guards nor when we had 3 forwards last year.
If anything it may leave Arthur a little out of sorts but now they havea pretty decent trade asset

I think we proved more than any team last year having shooters can be overrated.
I will admit they need a more defensive mindset maybe Shaw will provide that scheme wise. It's not like we had a ton of defensive minded players on our team but our coach did preach it a lot.

He was the other front court player that escaped my mind, but good point. Just goes to show if you have a good GM, you can make fiscally smart moves.
