Slight edge to Oladipo as Orlando SL MVP over Olynyk...

Plumlee has been a surprise

3G4G @ 7/11/2013 7:53 PM
Oh and Drummond has simply been a man among boys

He can be all right--I think hes on the wrong team with DRummond Smith and Monroe. Hes going to get rebounds and thats a big skill

BRIGGS is he the same guy we were going to draft per some in the 1st round? WHy didn't he get drafted at all I wonder?

Drummond

A few of us were saying it prior to last seasons draft, that Drummond is high up their in potential with the Unibrow
I said from the start that many teams will regret passing on Drummond and Lilliard
Especially with Drummond, he was raw but had insane amount of athleticism to go with size/strength/length and potential
Anthony Davis vs Drummond will be like Cp3 vs Deron in their earlier years, it will go back and forth with their development

Drummond with Cousins and/or with Toronto would have formed a nice 1-2 punch, they both will regret not drafting on potential, following in the foot steps of the draft class for Lopez/Hibbert/McGee
No way he should have fell to Detroit, end of story, he has D12 like physical qualities in him *the positives*
20/20/4 block/2 steal threat once he develops a post game with The Dream

Lilliard didn't shock me as ROY at all but I didn't expect him to be as consistent, clutch, and great as he was in his 1st year

OKC made a huge mistake by not drafting Kelly Olynicks *he fits PERFECT at C with Ibaka along with Durant/Westbrook* and even a bigger price by not paying Harden
Olynick's could have been that 3rd option and go could inside out with great picks, high IQ, moves well off the ball, and provides solid post up and handle for a big

Hahaha is that where Predator, I mean Britney Griner plays?

Nevermind, Griner plays in Phoenix. God I'm so lost today. TGIF!

Trey Burke was the biggest disappointment so far. Hes no lock to all of a sudden be ok in the NBA. He looked slow and small--Im sure he will show better at some point but Jazz fans walk away a little discouraged right now. On the other hand Gobert was as surprise to me. He can help the Jazz now imho.

Eloy Vargas has a nice jumper. I like the agility and post moves of Jeremy Tyler. If he can slow down at the end of his moves just a touch I think he'd have a better accuracy on his shots.

Shump is keepin it real basic, but had a nice alleyoop to THJ and a nice post feed to Leslie. Leslie has some nice quickness on his post moves.

I liked seeing leslie bringing the ball up the cojrt and running the pnr.

Whenever I read the name Vargas, I think of this:

Hardaway Jr off to a good start. Its ironic people hates the Hardaway pick but loved the bargnani deal lol
misterearl @ 7/12/2013 4:30 PM
nixluva/ Yellowboy - thank you for the early observations

Jeremy Tyler, if he can adjust his focus to the present, and minimize his ego, could be this years Chris Copeland.

I think he will be the perfect role playing guard. We won't see that much here because with this team he will have to do more than he will have to do in the normal NBA. I think if you leave him open he will hit the shot and if you play up he will drive past the defender.

First half over. MSG's coverage really sucks so far. Wall to wall interviews, split screen, cutaways, made it hard to follow the game, and Clyde and Breen did very little play by play. NBATV's coverage was much better.

Shump needs to work on his game so playing him at the point where he just dribbles the ball up court and dumps it off to someone is a waste of his time IMO. He was playing SF a lot last season, now PG in the summer league, God forbid he actually plays the 2 so he can work on his offense. He looks rusty out there and needs the work.

Tyler looks rough around the edges to put it lightly. THJ showed some nice moves and Murray looked good too at times.

BRIGGS @ 7/12/2013 5:01 PM
I did not see Henry Sims but I thought all our big guys are so raw that they would have no chance to be on an NBA roster. I dont see how that will change anytime soon.

The only guy outside of our drafted players that I thought looked like an NBA player was Murrie. I don't think hes a PG(maybe?) but his body language --him and Hardaway looked the parts of an NBA player. Leslie did a few nice things but his body language and intensity is not there. He made a few nice dribble moves--one nice dish but was he playing hard? Not really there were guys playing hard but theyre just not that good. I thought I saw Chris Smith ask out of the game???? I didnt love how the Knicks coaches did the minutes. Let the starters play 30+ and just switch it every other game unless someone just scks. I think you need minutes for rhythm

i dont like shumpert at the point. i would rather him remain at the 2 or 3 and continue to develop his shot and drive to the hoop
