Knicks · Knicks should sign Dwight Buycks (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 7/9/2013 11:11 AM
He was the French league MVP he looks like the best PG in the Orlando SL and hes 24 years old. Hes quick tall (6-3) speedy athletic and is quite skilled. To me--being an MVP of a European league is enough experience--I do not think either Priginoni or a Billups would be a superior player in any way. Every year 1-2 guys stand out in the SL--and someone picks them up. In stead of messing with the over 35 crowd which was UNSUCCESSFUL last year--why dont we go this route?

h

Dwight is number 20.

Im down with this. I also really want to sign Elliott Williams- formerly of DUke and Memphis- draft pick of Portland. Had a lot of big injuries early in his career but still only like 24 yrs old and really athletic and talented.

Nice find Briggs. He has a nice handle, stroke, and attacks the rim. Only saw the last few minutes of the orl game, will have to keep an eye on this guy.

We need some speed on this team--what did we do to improve our 30th ranked fast break this offseason---nothing. How about a young athletic skilled PG? You can tell he has pedigree from the video the fact that he was an MVP and the way he looks so much more polished in the SL than other PGs.

Nice article: http://www.foxsportswisconsin.com/colleg...

What was the deal with this Marquette team? They were totally underscouted. Jimmy Butler barely drafted, this guy undrafted...

If Briggs likes him, that pretty much means Houston, Oklahoma, San Antonio or another of their ilk will pick him up before the Knicks will...

He is already on OKC summer league team so they have the inside track.

No one has the inside track on an unrestricted FA--anyone can sign anyone anytime. It doesnt necessarily mean anything to be on any particular SL team--if your free--you can be signed.

It means he's in front of the coaching staff every day and has them in his ear, and it means he's much more likely to be invited to their camp should he pay well. Its not the be all and end all, but it gives them an inside track considering the money will be the same every where.

yellowboy90 @ 7/9/2013 5:27 PM
does he ever pass
GustavBahler @ 7/9/2013 5:42 PM
No sign of him yet. Oladipo is playing the point.
Anji @ 7/9/2013 5:50 PM
I thought the knicks were interested in Bobby Brown.

Hes leading the SL in assists shooting 58% and 3rd in steals. This guy is a player--this would be a savvy pick up.

If he is an euro MVP then he has experience - Woody might even play him in garbage time.
