well, good shooting guards aren't nearly as prevalent as they were. Most are pretty pedestrian these days.

I completely agree - there are pretty much no 6'6" players with a pure stroke. I would say there are more young enters in the league than there are legit, young SGs
But pg is so valuable. Teams just don't trade good PGs. Guys like George hill yes but there are very few good ones to be had. Give me shump

YUP! Between Murdoock Ave. and Hollis. Farmers Blvd and Springfield. Fun times growing up in the 70's and 80's. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens. Now I live in Georgia since 2004.

How does this affect Iman psychologically? The kids now days need to have constant nurturing, and in general athletes need to feel like they are part of something greater. Dolan just continues to be an albatross to this franchise.

league, not all of it.
Yeah, he missed a few shots but, he was mainly focusing on trying to run the team. Hard to build chemistry with the youngins when you haven't played with them before and them, just getting their feet wet.
I wouldn't put too much on Shump's performance. Remember a few year back when JR Smith went to summer league, played like crap and everyone assumed he was washed up lol

honestly, none of us KNOW, I would say this though, after the playoff Pacer's series, when Iman questioned Woodson's offense, lack of plays/movement, and too much ISO, he surely stepped on some toes in the organization, including Woodson, Melo, JR, Knick's managment, especially with Melo's opt ability to opt out and lose Dolan's $$$ maker that he traded a lineup/future picks for
I think what Martin is trying to say is, out of all analyst/reporters, SAS is the least to be trusted, the hardest on the NY KNICKS, and the most dramatic, at least on ESPN

Still you only trade Shump if you improve somewhere else. Knicks have Shump position covered. Gotta be realistic. I personally love everything about Shump, but his talent is not really game changing changing....he competes but knicks need more than sometime who plays hard. Knicks need production. At this point id rather start jr smith. Sign raja bell in the meantime and have Tim Hardaway jr the third guard.

IDK - Firstly there's no two -year window. We are not even close to being contenders. It's almost impossible to find players that play hard and no we dont need more than that. Not everyone has to be a game changer, I would rather start Shumpert at 2G and develop him than any of the other options on the roster. I don't think Shumpert is going to fetch us an "all star" (and like fishmike, I tend to look down on that label, because it's a popularity contest). Trading the only solid young player on the team to get marginally better is a non starter in my opinion.

Eh, SAS is annoying, but his sources when it comes to basketball are usually legit. I trust SAS and his sources over a lot of NBA beat guys out there. Again, context is everything and the fact that he never reported this says a lot.

You have to figure Shumpert is not happy with the signing of JR and drafting of THJ. And probably not happy with Woodsons over reliance on JR. He probably will go to a team that actually appreciates him. Just like Copeland and Lin did

Very Good Point. I actually feel Shumpert is very underappreciated by our fambase. He had a very bad injury and he came back a lot sooner than i thought and he did well. he was arguably our best player in the playoffs.

the only sort of player you trade iman for is a straw stirring the drink player. knicks are likely an inchoate mess as it is, committed to winning now but not having the right players to do it. the notion of trading iman smacks of desperation. nets, indiana, miami, and chicago may all be better than the knicks.
