Says its blocked in some countries do to that sick dunk he has. If u live in the US it works though

Jmpasq @ 7/21/2013 7:08 PM
His defense in this game was pretty horrid. About to go through the Wizards game next hope its better. He has a real Nice NBA body and has more then enough athletic ability. I see a lack of BB IQ though , same problem with Leslie
anrst @ 7/21/2013 7:45 PM
the level of play in this game will make anyone look sloppy by association ... def has nba body athleticism and an idea of how to use his big body with some coordination and skill on the offensive end, both on the perimeter and in the post ... looked like one of those post moves in the lane was a travel... all in all, he is something to be excited for.

is there a risk someone else can sign him before camp?

yellowboy90 @ 7/21/2013 9:28 PM
His game will probably be restricted to K-mart's game to start off if he sticks. Maybe they will post him up some but his main goals should be hustling, rebounding, setting good screens, & finishing. Add stuff later.

For a big guy, he puts the ball on the floor very well and has a very quick first step.
Thanks for the video.

Well, he wasn't always a big guy, and you can tell he had a late growth spurt. You can also see how leaving high school early slowed his basketball IQ and development skills. When I look at him, I see a HS kid mentally and a grown man physically. When and if his basketball IQ matches his physical size, strength and athleticism....he will be a beast. But you can say that about 90% of the basketball players trying to earn an NBA contract. He definitely has the most potential, compared to other non-drafted players. CJ is also a sleeper….The problem is that he plays like he’s high. The game is too easy for him, and he’s used to going half speed and still killing. I know this problem very well. It takes a lot of work to fix, but it’s fixable. But back to Tyler, I like his motor on offense and scoring ability. When he scores it seems like he injects energy and momentum into the team. He plays with passion which can be contagious.

Clyde talked about his ball handling and said he might have handled the ball a lot before he had a growth spurt.

Do u think sending him to the D League will do him any good? He has played professionally for years now. Its frustrating because he has a lot of moldable talent.I dont know if there is a way to keep him on the 15.Maybe the NBA players/coaches/Practices can get more from him.

sealy @ 7/22/2013 9:07 AM
Man he really needs to start understanding that when the shot goes up you put a body on a body. He also he unbelievably slow to rotate and doesn't seem to enjoy playing help D. Guy makes Chris Copeland look like Dennis Rodman by comparison.

His offense is pretty impressive though and being at the end of the bench and learning D and O from certain bigs should only improve his game, if he really is willing, so I hope we find a spot for him.

Other guys - Toure Murry is a solid looking player, whereas Chris Smith looks like a pile of dogshit out there.

Keep him on the 15 man roster - Sign him to 2 yr + team option. And work with him - especially on defense. You can't completely judge a player's defense from SL. The play is so sloppy; the players are put together with a week of practice and they really haven't learned their roles. However, I do agree with you that Tyler needs work on his inside defense; especially working within a team defense concept, with switching, help defense, etc.

He has so much talent and at 22 yrs old, it seems like he has finally matured and knows what he wants and needs to work on.

If you take a chance on a 22 year old center with his athleticism and head, you better do the 2 yr + team option. Us fans can't handle another LinCope.
Where would a player at his age and with his skill fall in the draft, I say top 20 easy. You hold on and cross your fingers.

Chris Smith is terrible its a joke if they bring him to camp.

I was hoping that maybe Chris would show some improvement, but I saw nothing. He's just not any good. He has this belief he's a lot better than he is. He makes no impact. I don't see even the slightest PG skill. Murry looks FAR more ready to help on the NBA level. Even if he doesn't have the PG spot 100% down, he's shown enough to know he can do it. More importantly he's shown NBA level defensive ability. Murry is like a skinny Shump on D. We could use a defender like him when we need to shut a team down on the perimeter.

Its weird, He is a similar type player to Shump ,like they are going to trade Shump, and use alternate Shump in his place.
U guys think Jordan makes the team? I doubt both he and Tyler make it.I think 3 of those guys can make it. Murray,Leslie Tyler. They have 2 more vet spots I think. 1 has to be a back up Center and maybe a 3rd PG. that still leaves 3 spots

Chandler
Bargs
Melo
Shump
Felton

Smith
Prigs
Amare
World Peace
KMart ?
Hardaway

Tyler has a good skill level already. If he was coming out of college this year he'd be a top 10 pick. Can't let that fact escape notice. He's 22 and how many kids do we see with his size, skill and physical talent? Just give this kid some solid minutes and let him acclimate to the pro level. Actually think STAT, KMart and Tyson are excellent role models for the kid. They all have things they can teach him.
CrushAlot @ 12/31/2013 7:47 PM
Clyde towatds the end says, Tyler gives the Knicks a guy that can bang with Boozer and Noah, Hibbert and West. Nice.
PresIke @ 12/31/2013 8:17 PM
good video...we see his strengths, weaknesses and potential...
Finestrg @ 1/1/2014 5:08 AM
Here's the best clip available that showcases his potential -- let's face it, all these youtube highlight clips really give you is a mere glimpse at a players capabilities. This is the best one imo. This is the one that gets the mouth watering:

This kid better play. In a lost year, these are the guys you wanna see play -- the Aldrichs, the Murrys, the Tylers...If this kid starts racking up DNPs, Woody's gotta go finally!

Happy and safe New Year to all btw!

EnySpree @ 1/1/2014 9:12 AM
Alot of old clips.... one thing has got to be said. He's a good kid. We have a core of 3 players that all seen to be cut from the same cloth in Tyler, Murry, and Thjr....I think we need to build around these 3. We're making a grace mistake if we don't. 3 young guys that play hard and are true to their positions with great heads on their shoulders. It would be a dream if they all can reach their potential together. I personally believe they can all be starters by next year. They are all at the cusp.
