AT first I didn't even pay attention to the SAS vid with him telling Howard about dolans displeasure with shumps summer league play (or lack there of) but driving home today, I could totally understand his fustration. He really doesn't want to play pg, and your biggest moves this off season was resigning JR and drafting another sg who they plan on playing, and 2 SF who are going to see big minutes
Word is coming out that JR will be in the starting line up this season as Melo's 2nd scorer, and artest and bargi will play mostly the 3 which doesn't leave 27mins pg for shump (your best defender) even if JR comes off the bench, which is usually mid way thru the 1st qtr, shumps minutes will be sporadic at best..
This kid is as good as gone unless THJ turns out to be suspect. Every move they made so far is hindering Shumps developement...

I dont mind if he gets traded as long as we get good value back for him. If we get a young PG back that can play then cool. If we do something stupid like trade him in a package for Nash I will get pissed

Truth is he is hot and signs do point to him being traded simply because he's the knicks best chip and we have his position covered already. We can speculate all we want just like he can make all the money he wants traveling representing the nba and Adidas. Good players come and go. Making mistakes, doing dumb things and reacting emotionally are all things that he has done in the past. However, I am not sure that he ever said he wants Shump traded and SAS said, 'he no longer feels that way.' Is this SAS covering up a mistake about a conversation that he thought he was having off camera or is he buddies with Dolan and that his how he gets his info? I just don't think you need to look for a villain for a situation you are speculating might happen.
if the knicks think THJ and JR Bad Knees somehow free us up to let go of Shump, they go another thing comin
Shump may be my favorite Knick but there is so much drama around him. 2 years ago rumours surfaced he didn't want to play SF. Now we got these rumours. I am not passing any blame to anyone because the stuff we hear is all over the place, but when is the question gonna change from will the Knicks deal Shumpert to should the Knicks deal Shumpert? One thing they have to look at is long range. Will Shumpert resign here after next year if he really is this unhappy? Is management really that unhappy with him?
Idk...I like Shump and I dont believe all the talk but where there is smoke there is usually fire.

Well first off i never said i believed these rumors of shumpert being traded. im just talking about dolan in general

You are speculating based on something that SAS refuted and Isola who is using the statement SAS refuted. Could Shump be traded? Absolutely. Is Dolan involved and looking to dump him? According to SAS no. Isola can be like chicken little and every once in a while he gets it right. Shump does have value and has a reasonable contract so his name always will come up on a team that has max guys and league mini guys.

That is odd considering the statement his agent made at seasons end. Said that Shump was unhappy being forced to play small forward when he should be playing the 2guard spot with spot minutes at the point.

no because only negative speculation is relevant too so many here.
Dolan is a petty man who holds grudges.
Isola is the victom of MSG propoganda machine and holds a grudge.
Shump might have done more than we know to piss the little dictator off.
Remember, Larry Brown had to meet the press on the side of the highway. Remember the petty antics that MSG tried to rid themselves of Larry. (Not saying he was deserving of being fired, just a comment on how MSG does things).
So in my book there is really nothing to talk about because you only get to see what they want you to see/read/hear and not much more.
Shump not happy when he plays the 3, and when they want him to work on his handle he made other plans. Take the middle road, he should have cleared his schedule for the two weeks to work out and be at summerleague, but its not the end of the road.
Only other thing is the hair do is a bit "look at me" and there is nothing wrong with a young man expressing himself until you start carving sponsers (Adida's) in your hair. It might be Dolan don't like players trying to not be team oriented. Shump might have been warned as well before doing it.

We have 4 guards and a rookie in a cast.
JR was the best in the league off the bench, and is now coming off an injury. So naturally, he's going to start.
We've added an actual, real starter to the front court, who actually isn't looking into sponsorships from nursing homes. If Stat doesn't break more than a sweat for Israel, and we actually sign KMart, that equals 6 front court players who could all start. Looks a little busy.
Of the four guards we have and one rook, none of them approach the proven defensive prowess of the "Haircut"
So naturally, that makes one of the few main links of our D expendable.
I would not want Shump traded, and I seriously doubt our idiot owner is going to dump him out of spite or stupidity. Would not appear to be good for business, given what's available for him.
