Blair's been linked to the Wizards, think they're trying to work out a sign and trade with the spurs I think. We can't do a S&T for a player because we're over the cap.

CrushAlot @ 7/22/2013 1:30 PM
If the Knicks are counting on Murry, and Tyler to be rotation players they are in big trouble.
yellowboy90 @ 7/22/2013 1:39 PM
you could have said the same about prigs and Cope last year before the season. You never know.
Nalod @ 7/22/2013 1:59 PM
Cope at least did well in Europe, Priggs had many years success at high level and tested against olympians.

Tyler an Toure are raw.

We don't know if they even make the roster.

Cope did well eventually in Europe and that league was one of the lower leagues in Europe. I know he had offers after to join a higher league after he figured it out but their were still question marks.

I do agree that Murry and Tyler are very raw.

I don't know, I'd rather rely on them (and at least have the hope they'll improve/contribute), than spend the season waiting for 40 year old Camby, Kidd, Kurt and Sheed to break down.

Guys are going to hate on me for it but, Knicks need to take a look at Jared Jeffries if hes a free agent. No one draws a charge like Jared

I agree. Not sure about Jared's health. I know he received the Kobe treatment on his knee prior to last year. He could be a big addition.

JJ was one of those players that contributed nothing in the boxscore, but always seemed to lead the team in +/-, like Novak last season- we always seemed to go on a run when they were on the floor.

Same couldve been said before LINSANITY, lol........

Knixkik @ 7/22/2013 5:29 PM
Team is moving along with filling out the roster. When healthy we can expect our top 10 to be:

C Chandler/backup PF/C
PF Bargnani/Stoudemire
SF Anthony/MWP
SG Shumpert/Smith
PG Felton/Prigioni

Hardaway will round out the rotation until JR Smith returns. Only hole in the rotation is backup big which should be either Kmart or possibly Jeffries as a backup plan to KMart.

Outside of Hardaway, we can expect Bobby Brown, Jeremy Tyler, and Leslie to get spots. That should leave one more open spot for a late free agent signee or impressive training camp invitee.

Lin had a year of nba experience and he blew up in the summer leagues having that monster game agaimst Wall. He just was the odd man out in Houston with Dragic and Lowry. Also, if you count on finding your starting point guard in the summer league and ditch a guy that went 16-2 as the starter you probably won't have a joba as a gm in the nba for long.
nixluva @ 7/22/2013 6:01 PM
I'm actually pretty excited about the prospect of adding youth rather than the old guys being talked about. Tyler, Murry, THJ, CJ aren't going to be major contributors, but sometimes it's good to have that high energy youth coming off the bench. They'll make some mistakes, but you can push them to be aggressive defensively and get out on the break. It's a nice change of pace.

If they Knicks do sign B. Brown and KMart I think that is a very solid bench. That's a bunch of players who have talent and can contribute if given minutes. Last year we had a bunch of players who either gave us nothing or couldn't stay healthy. I think this is an improvement over that situation.

Yeah, I heard he's a lockdown PG defender too.
Please, let's hope the last geriatric move we make for this season is signing KMart.

I'd rather bring Jorts back before Fishlips!

And Tyler has also had a year (or two) of nba experience (also for the Warriors), and also performed well in a summer league game.

A voice of reason. I don't care how much of a "lockdown defender" he is, you can't have a 6'10" guy on the court that can't make a layup.
