it's not bad news to have to adapt, it's a good thing; you would rather he not adapt and suck?

new, nice things can come out of it, beautiful things you don't know,
what if he adapts to something that suits him better THAN EVEN BEFORE!?!?

I was saying if he ends up skipping his workouts with hakeem
Its weird and we can all speculate:
1. Amare is trying to gain citizenship to Israel. Hakeem ain't Jewish. Hakeem don't keep kosher. Oye. LOL!!!!!
2. It's not the knee issue, that sounds like an excuse to not send him because Hakeem is now full time on Rockets and maybe the protocal is players don't work other teams coach's?
3. MSG don't tell the truth. Maybe its his back? The whole "Amare over did it last off season" is nice propaganda. I like Amare, the warrior cred, and I don't doubt his work ethic but I don't trust the flow of information from the Knicks. Maybe Playa2 can give us he "Real scoop"!

I don't trust the Knicks at all. Like I said I didn't understand why Amare even came back during playoffs. He should have sat out and to bring him in and risk further injury I thought it was ridiculous. Amare came back to be treated like a scrub, Woody was so lost in love for Melo and Smith he saw nothing else.

I am not sure if STAT ever played for TEAM USA at all but if he did, he wouldn't be eligible to play for them in the olympics
As horrible as STAT was, out of NBA shape for not playing for 3months, and with his HORRIBLE DEFENSE to begin with, he was called on BEFORE Copeland and that is why Woodson makes horrible/stubborn decisions for our most important time of the year

Stat played for Team USA. He also was going to play for them again but the Knicks denied him the opportunity I believe because they were worried about his knees. That was the summer Walsh signed him to the max deal so they were well aware of what they were getting into.

My take was to give Amare some time to work himself into shape with limited minutes in the event we got past Indy. If so, Amare MIGHT have been able to give us some quality minutes? Just a guess. Amare did not hurt us or cause us to lose the series.
We needed some bigs to play. YOu pay a guy 100mm, you play him.

I believe that there is more going on than what meets the eye. I believe the Knicks are trying to force Amare out. They want to shut him down in every way possible and when he can't take it anymore he ask to be brought out.

100 million for 6 months of production WTF. I really believe knowing the Knicks that they believe they can get another 2 months of production out of Amare for the rest of his contract.
I said this before I don't agree with minutes restriction on any player. I would start Amare and basically run him 30-35 minutes. If he get injured in game 1 or game 25 it makes no difference to me. But if he manages to play all season it's a plus. That's my approach with Amare.

I don't remember if Dyess had a minutes restriction on the Spurs but I know he did not participate in basketball related workouts for the entire offseason in an effort to save his knees and prolong his career. Amare is probably done. I think the Knicks are just trying to get something out of him. The one time he went two minutes over his minutes restriction when Melo was out he missed the next 31 games. He has fragile knees and probably shouldn't be playing ball at all at this point.
