I'm pretty sure at this point they are just stat padding to get the thread to 1,000 replies.
I was shocked. I only opened this thread cos nothing else was going on. I hadn't open this thread in weeks. can't believe the turn it took but
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!!
misterearl wrote:Screaming Racismtkf - the fact you are the same race as Carmelo does not mean your views on race are not affected by negative stereotypes.
The Ghetto Superstar Chucker formerly known as Carmelo is not a savior. The Chucker is not a hero or a role model. He is barely a better than average basketball player. He is not solely responsible for the fortune of the franchise.
He is just a man.
Flawed. Imperfect. A work in progress.
keep saying that to yourself while carmelo keeps trying to walk on water... the guy is full of himself, he forced his way here and did so at the expense of the team and the fans who wanted to actually see the knicks build something honest, something we could be proud of....
please go away carmelo... take dolan with you..

DurzoBlint - to you perhaps. The sound that you hear may irritate your ears, that does not make it any less truth.
The killer of John Lennon? Really? Is a comparison to a murderer your only takeaway?
sheesh
DurzoBlint - your reaction only confirms how difficult any discussion that invokes race, prejudice or perception, is for you.
No problem. It's expected.
this had NOTHING to do with race but, your stating that his house should burn down. WTF..he has a wife and children...you should never wish something like this on people. I happen to believe in Karma.
Let me ask you a question...do you consider yourself a Christian? A Catholic? If so, then you truly know what you said was wrong.
Whose house was it suggested that it be burned down?
Please read the exchange with care, instead of rushing to judgement.

If that the best you have, perhaps another thread would be a better place to comment.
Stupidity?
Care to point it out?

I dont know, earl. I agree with you that the hate from some is on a personal level, but to imply that they're racist? I think that's a bit much and quite offensive. I have to give TKF credit for having a much more tame response than I would have had I been in his position.
I try to stay away from silliness like that.. people tend to scream "racist" when they have no argument.. for the record, I am of the same race lebron, wade, and even that chucker carmelo... what I do find funny tho, is the hero worship that tends to go on with some NY fans, to me that is a more compelling topic than why I dislike carmelo..
Please tell us the story about Gallo's behind the back pass again, Uncle tkf...

My theory is he really, really digs Gallo's backside

here is the your direct quote:
The ghetto superstar needs to be run out of town. We need things to go back to the way they used to be back in the good old days. We should send the ol' boys to Carmelo's house to burn a cross on his lawn.
So your right, I did get the quote wrong, what your wrote was actually more offensive than I thought. NOW, like I said, if you were making a joke, then it was in bad taste.
Im hoping Bargnani does well but to be honest im more happy with the udrih and MWP additions. We needed to more defense which MWP will provide and we needed another point guard who can move the ball and can even score a little bit too. I admit I wasnt a fan of the Bragnani deal only because we gave up a first round pick but hopefully he does well and is healthy
This thread is like a spoof of all of the issues I've had with these boards this past season!
