He was one of the players we picked up along with that greek guy....forgot the trade....if anyone knows please refresh.
WTH is the word on this dude....
truthfully? I'm just sick of seeing his name when I'm playing with the trade checker.
i think we have his draft rights, whatever that means

he was drafted by the Dallas in 2009 in the second round and was never signed...Knicks got his rights in a trade.
how come we never hear about him?
We have this guys rights, so no one else can sign him. If we wanted to sign him, we could. I think he was in summer league last year and less than stellar. But that said he's 6'9" and has some athleticism. I think if he was worth inviting to camp at this point we would've invited him though.
he was traded along with Brewer to get the trade exemption and OKC's 2nd rounder
which was used plus 2 other picks to get AB

Are you sure about Nivens? I didn't remember him being included and checked the transactions for the 2012-2013 on nba.com and he wasn't included in their record of the trade.
• New York traded guard Ronnie Brewer to Oklahoma City for a 2014 second-round draft pick and cash.

Nivins participated in the Knicks free agent camp back in June.
5. Ahmad Nivins (6-9, 242; Saint Joseph's; second-round pick in 2009): Nivins has a connection to the Knicks when they acquired his draft rights in 2011 in a packaged deal for Tyson Chandler. The Jersey City native has played in Belgium, Spain and France this past season, averaging 14.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. He's recognized for being an agile forward, defensive-minded and skilled in the post.

it was reported at the time that both Ahmad Nivens and Georgios Printezis were both part of the deal, right now I only see Printezis was part of the trade

I am not sure. I know the Knicks don't have the rights to Printezis anymore but I thought he was moved in another trade.
I want draft rights to the kid from Eric's little hero.
