I saw a report earlier on espn that Detrot might be trying to flip Jennings for Rondo....that can't happen until December 15th.
So.....
Rondo, Crawford and Bogans to Detroit
Jennings, Stuckey(expiring), and Jerebko to the Knicks...The Knicks would get some kind of draft picks
Tyson, Felton, and Shump to Boston
it's August people...I need something to do

Unless Boston and Detroit gives us every single draft pick they possibly can there's no way I would do this.

Jennings sucks, Jerebko might be an MLE caliber player, and Stuckey is a backup quality guard at best. Meanwhile we'd be giving up our only center without having any sort of replacement and a player in Shumpert who has as much potential as anyone we're receiving in return. We'd also be adding salary past next season while getting worse as a team.

I would have a tough time deciding to part with Shump for Rondo. No way I'm doing it for Jennings. Not only do I pass, I start screening phone calls from Ainge or Dumars.

I look at it as an opportunity to get younger. We all want a young point guard but gap at getting Jennings? Want everyone crying that we missed the boat in drafting him? Jennings would be an upgrade over Felton. Jennings has big game talent and potential. Would be nice to have him locked up as we go forward.
As far as right now? Stucky gives us a nice option off the bench. Plus he's an expiring contract.
You start: Melo, Metta, Bargnani, Jennings and Smith
Jerebko becomes the dirty work guy for us off the bench. KMart and A'mare fill in at the 4/5....like i said stucky us the super sub at guard.
The best news is the knicks can still win and play decent defense. In offense we might run everyone

yeah, I always though the Kenny Anderson comparison were dead on with Felton, especially with the jumpshot and the inconsistency finishing in the paint. Kenny eventually had to fix his three point shot and use a slower, more controlled release. Not sure if Jennings will ever bulk up enough to be strong finisher in the paint.

That's all that has to happen for this board to implode: Trade Shump, so some other team can get Rondo.
You'd suddenly find how truly useless draft picks are to some people who talk them up like free solutions to all the world's problems.
