If she had carpeting, they'd match the curtains. Right now, she's rocking the "waxed floor" look. 
Not sure if even Kate Upton is worthy of supermodel status. She's a hot 7 or 8 maybe in real life, I see hotter chicks on the subway ride to work everyday.
Kate Upton is clearly not in the Bar Refaeli, Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, Marissa Miller, Brooklyn Decker, Nina Agdal, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel universe.
And that's okay, she is what she is. Nice face, big rack. Body shaped like a rectangle, doesn't really work out.
She's not quite in the "supermodel pantheon" you're describing.
Right now, I'd say she'll probably edge out Leanna Decker due to "name recognition" and being on the SI cover.
I'm fine with that. If you were to line up Kate Upton and Leanna Decker side by side in a bikini contest, and have judges at the event to see who has the hottest body, it'd be a massacre.

Lol what does accolades have to do with how "beautiful" she is. Could care less what Vogue magazine thinks. She's the "It girl" because of social media, who she dated(Diddy, Mark Sanchez, Justin Verlander), and because she did a few "Dougie" dances. Doesn't mean she's a true supermodel. Maxim named Miley Cyrus hottest of 2013, and I think most people here can agree that's a joke.
I know you bought into the Kate Upton hype, but honestly, she's not all that.
I would take Giselle Bundchen or Heidi Klum over Kate Upton, and they're both way past their prime.
I mean when I think of supermodel, I think of perfection. Like Candice Swanepoel.
When I think of Kate Upton, I think of imperfection. Like if it weren't for those jugs, I'd have to stare at her muffin top or look at her unbleached or unwaxed moustache.
Decker put up a good battle, but Upton's funbags win at the end. No hurt feelings, great head to head matchup, and lots of fun pics to look at. 
Guess I'll have to put more effort into my other sexy horses in this race.

You guys have to be kidding me - google Leanna Decker Ugly and open the first link that comes up. Pic #1 shows she is a total butterface and further down you see some weird stuff growing on her behind. Obviously I couldn't show these on UK because they are illicit photos but take a look for yourself.
Her pics are hot but she wears a TON of makeup. Upton is quality.
