Sounds like just one of our many workouts with different players, doubt we sign anyone until summer league

The #Knicks have 14 players under contract so they have room to sign FA center Hamed Haddadi if they choose. He worked out w/them today.

Yeah, Isola's version, meeting with Knicks officials, sounds more like a potential signing. I think he would be a great addition. I think they might be keeping Barron around like they did Bobby Brown.

Haddadi, Barron, Johnson...I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE!!!!

Which 15th man will push us closer to that elusive Championship!

This guy has some potential to be a viable back up center for us. In 13 minutes last year in PHX he averaged 4points,over 5 Rebs and over a blocked shot a game (PER of 10.2, not terrible for a back up C). And of course he's 7'2 . Would be a better true back up Center than anything we had last year.
BRIGGS @ 8/16/2013 2:36 PM
I like this guy. He's better than he's shown and he's 7-2
nixluva @ 8/16/2013 2:37 PM
I actually didn't realize he was as big as he is. He seems like he can definitely bang a little and isn't afraid to put it up in the post. Looks like he would be a solid back up for Tyson. We just need someone who is big enough, durable and willing to bang. HH looks like he knows his role and does his job. Not a lot of C's want to actually play like a C anymore.
azamatbagatov @ 8/16/2013 2:42 PM
His size will definitely help if we can find minutes for him. Maybe throw him in to beat up on Hibbert. Can't hurt to bring him in
Anji @ 8/16/2013 2:44 PM
Well if we are going to sign this guy, he is deserving to play 10-15 minutes a night.

Who is going to sit in the front court, Knicks need to up front and say to Bargs/Stat, " we only need one of you guys, best man wins". I'm pulling for Bargs because Stat fucks up too many things.

Tyler sits. Maybe KMart/Amare suit up on opposite nights of back to backs.
nixluva @ 8/16/2013 2:51 PM
If we add this guy then we should have the depth needed to get thru an 82 game schedule and be stronger in the playoffs. No one should log too many minutes like we have in the past. IMO that was the big issue against the Pacers. They were young and strong and we were fading. With a few of legit 7'ers and other bigs we will be able to bang with anyone.
EnySpree @ 8/16/2013 2:52 PM
I like the dude because he has a good touch inside on both ends....his timing is really good. He's not a power guy or finesse guy....he's awkward but he is effective....I would welcome his addition....

I just want to say that I can't stand Tyson Chandler....I know you guys know that by now. I would sign Hadaddi and Barron then trade Tyson for Humphries straight up and then waive Humphries and take the cap relief....

Knicks are good right now guys....if we get Haddadi we got better. Go Knicks

Agree with you on Tyson, but I don't like him so much that I'd trade him for nothing. He still has value.

I know.....I just don't think its wise to sit on a guy that refuses to improve his game year to year. He's a over paid role player/energy guy. When the game is on the line you can't rely on him because he can't score. He can't drive and finish he has no hook shot and he refuses to shoot the jumper because he has zero confidence....now if he had a basic hook shot with his good hand at least and a working jumpshot then I would not be so against him. He can't put the ball on the floor and its questionable if he can evem simply lay the ball up....everything is either dunk or free throws with this guy. He can't adapt to defense. We need him to be a threat to score. Even the biggest bum at center in the league can hit a jumper and finish a drop step with defense on them.

Even in international play, Tyson didn't play a lot of minute even with him being the only real center....he hurts the team since all he does is defend and dunk.

earthmansurfer @ 8/16/2013 3:53 PM
He sounds like a great backup center, 7'2" - YEAH. His numbers in Phoenix look good and his performance overseas is nice as well.

Also, I can imagine at halftime he can talk about peace and no war (since the war mongers want to go in Iran). Nice public relations Dolan! Not joking - Give Peace a Chance...

I know it's popular to dump on Tyson coming off a sub-par year but he was legitimately hurting last year. What he brings to this team is severely underrated. He was DPOY in 11 b/c he when healthy is a game-changer on D. Don't forget what our interior D looked like pre-Tyson (yes some system related but alot has to do with having a legit presence at C).

While he is not Patrick in his prime offensively, he does enough off of pick and roles ,offensive rebounding and garbage points to be effective offensively. As long as we have shooters around him he is more than enoguh considering all the other things he brings to the table.

He needs to play about 26 minutes a game and maybe sit out some back to backs to save him for the playoffs. Bargs/Haddadi are a nice combo to throw at Hibbert.
