No matter the circumstances of his death, he is still a Knick. Dean was part of the '73 championship team, that alone made him a childhood hero of mine.

I remember him and attended his basketball camp when I was about 12-13. He was super kind and very funny. All the kids only wanted to know if he could still dunk (this was about 1983) and he told them if we all listened and did the drills - he would try on the camp's last day. On the last day he squeaked it in - which was awesome for a bunch of 12-13 year olds. RIP Dean!

Nice story. Those are the type of things that touch so many others lives.
