Knicks · Look slike Beasley is going to be waived (page 3)

IronWillGiroud @ 9/3/2013 10:35 PM
yea, for the record i'm a huge fan of bease,

he just gives off that stoner vibe and guys like that, they're serious about that life,

it would take a lot for a guy like that to give up weed and focus on becoming an all-star

IronWillGiroud @ 9/3/2013 10:36 PM
weed is a tricky drug because the user can appear to be there, go through the motions, do a satisfactory job even,

but then he is not there really,

imagine bease if he were THERE all the time, balling,

Papabear Says

I never smoked weed. In my younger days I drunk Gallo wine and Thunderbird. A little Johnny Walker reb

for many weed destroys ambition. munchies yes hunger no. he does not seem interested in investing in himself. he should have had a good career but he clearly does not understand the game and is not interested in defending. can someone tell me who in the knicks organization is going to turn this kid around?

no one.... but I sure would have taken this guy over bargnani and what we paid for him.. I guess the lesser of two evils. in a perfect or not so perfect world I would kick both of those clowns out of the league.. one for being a dummy, the other for being a coddled softee loser....

with that said, I am officially off to bed like i should have been an hour ago.. LOL

EnySpree @ 9/4/2013 5:48 AM
He was too young to understand the concept of being a pro in Miami that's why Riley got rid of him. He's been around and actually averaged 19pts per in Minnesota. He's a gifted player that is in need of a veteran squad to get him on the right track. The Knicks could do it but we don't have space for him in the rotation at this point. Knicks could get greedy and make him am offer. The guy would actually fit here splitting time with Metta at the forward of the bench or starting.

He probably should go to the Lakers so Dantoni can make him into a star. The Lakers currently suck

Im not worried about the weed...many productive americans chiefed weed when they were in their early 20s. they grew up and became productive citizens.

what concerns me is the sexual assault allegations!

DurzoBlint @ 9/4/2013 7:00 AM
Riley knew what he was doing when he traded him for a 2nd round draft pick. Do we want to see him sit on the Knicks bench and start rubbing JR's thigh, thinking it's his own (hahaha that gif never fails to crack me up). The move to Phoenix should have been seen as a definite wake up call and, if you can't get it together in a place as player friendly as the Suns Organization then you are a true moron and Does ANYONE REALLY BELIEVE he could keep it together living in New York???!!!!

Good point about Pheonix situation....

hes still super talented and maybe he just needs to be surrounded by vets. With Miami Riley gas a zero tolerance policy as far as what he expects of his players. Riley expected him to be who he was supposed to be and work hard. That's why he was thrown away. Pheonix is in full blown rebuild with no leadership.

Minnesota actually gave him the keys for a short stint. The dude can score 20 a game on a bad tan if they let him.

Now the Knicks have vets.... Good vets and a large coaching staff. It's a great environment to build and learn how to be a pro from guys that you respect. Beasley should be carmelo Anthony. Who better to learn from than carmelo Anthony? That's what his agent should be telling him. The Knicks are gong to be in the market for change soon. In the long run ny would be the best place for him.

Are you kidding me????

Other than tyson chandler(who approaches the game with a level of professionalism, along with amare who really has no voice on this team now) the vets we have on this team are head cases.. Artest is a time bomb.. Kenyon is a fool.... Carmelo waits outside by the opposing teams bus because he got his feelings hurt... Please, this is the most dysfunctional situation you could put any player in with issues that beasley has.. heck and I didn't even mention JR smith... The last person beasley should be learning from is carmelo Anthony for christ sakes!!!!!!

This is why I think we will also miss jason kidd.. yes kid has his hiccups off the court, but he did bring a high level of accountability and professionalism on the court...

Woodson is an enabler..

Nalod @ 9/4/2013 1:20 PM
It ain't about the weed. ITs about a man's word. Its about him being professional about his life.

Its about public relations and selling tickets. its about public appearences and community. Its about sponsors who buy into the Suns. Not good corp image to align yourself with a guy who breaks the law.

Man says one thing, does another.

Its not about weed, but disregard for the law.

Then, its about on the court. Dude can put up buckets, but how is he missing cuts, passes, defensive assignments and how that go in the locker room? Not well.

Kid never been on a winning team so its hard to know how he'd take to authority.

Respect is earned, not given.

I've never understood how people can function pretty normally on weed- my eyes go brilliant red, I can't even follow a basic conversation, I get paranoid, start tripping off my balls and then either doze off or stuff my face. How people can drive or play basketball, I will never know!

smackeddog @ 9/4/2013 4:03 PM
You can have one JR on your team, but you can't have two! He's better off going to a team like the Spurs, we just wouldn't bring out the best in him off the court, and he wouldn't really fit the team on the court.

I love beasley's talent. He'd be a nice scorer off the bench. No way he's 6'10" though.

Ha ha- unfortunately for over a decade but for some reason have not built up any kind of immunity to it!

unrelated but, Shawne Williams (Purp) has signed with the Lakers. Wasn't thread worthy.
