Awesome: RT @HowardBeckNYT: I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be joining Bleacher Report as the national NBA writer, starting Monday.

I believe Zwerling also joined Bleacher Report. Losing Beck stinks. Big moves for Bleacher Report.

Great moves by Bleacher- they must mean business, two good writers. Beck needed a change- he's seemed a bit jaded with the Knicks since he returned from the Nets beat. Guess I'll start reading Bleacher Report.

bleacher report got money!!! Lol

NY Times to the...Bleacher Report? Wow, getting rid of the hoon pics in the "Swagger" section really uplifts the image, huh?

Maybe they can get George Will to right about the Salary Cap?

a coup for bleacher report,

no longer the land of only amateur monday night sofa generals,

soon, we will be able to take BR seriously

Great opportunity for Beck,

conventional thinking will say that you don't leave the Times,

but Beck is seizing the day, i like the move, guts, Beck was always the best out of all Knicks writers and it is no surprise this very big talent would make a very big move. big talents can't resist the challenge.

I was curious- because I don't see how someone leaves the NY Times for some dot com website.

Except, it turns out the Bleacher Report is owned by Turner as in TBS. Looks like it was just last year:

Clearly there is big money behind this.

I saw that article. It seems bleacher report is trying to do something similar to what yahoo did. I think beck is in the upper echelon of nba writers. In my opinion he is at or close to the same level as Wojo or Berger.

wojo is solid,

i think beck is just one notch above, he's so fluid

wojo can get tangled
