And that arguement doesnt apply to Lebron and Wade why? Ginobili does flop and Pierce certainly does flop as well. Just because Pierce started flopping later in his career, hes not a flopper? Lebron didnt begin his blatant flopping until he got to Miami so I guess he hasn't made a career of it either?

maybe because virtually nobody underrates wade and lebron the way they do pierce. i'm not comparing the three of them here but only speaking about overrating or underrating. most of the time i think wade has been overrated but when he plays defense the way he has shown he can then he isn't overrated as much. he's also been working on being more efficient since the arrival of lebron which will help his legacy a little bit. lebron has worked steadily on plugging the holes in his game and now he can hardly be considered overrated unless there is something ulterior related to his collusion, leading on teams in 2010, and his "decision" show which was a cringefest.

bottom line is that pierce's game is highly effective but not nearly so telegenic as wade's or lebron's. he is no media darling and his greatness is not recognized by the majority of fans of the nba because the majority of fans are not really students of the game, and they watch merely to be entertained.

but so far as flopping all this may be moot. the league did a pretty good job of putting the kibosh on flopping as it is, although it surely gets magnified in the conference finals and finals when the entire world is watching.

And if i recall correctly as the defensive anchor KG's defensive assignment was Pau so he gave him work on both ends.

Even Ray allen was primarily tasked with guarding Kobe at times.

There is a reason why the face of the franchise normally wins the finls mvp with only a few exceptions.

I even recall this article like yesterday for the case of ray allen equally deserving, and certainly didnt shoot 15% from the field in a finals game....

He was no winner prior to to KG and Ray, he wasnt making anyone better, and for most of his career he couldnt even make the playoffs during the weakest era the east had in quite a long time.

Why would i need to be objective, no one cared about Pierce before the big three forming.

He couldnt even be voted in as an all-star starter, even his own teammate got a start over him one year in Antoine Walker.

no one cared about Pierce...he wasnt doing anything worth noting.
