EnySpree @ 9/29/2013 6:23 PM
Like wtf
EnySpree @ 9/29/2013 6:26 PM
IronWillGiroud @ 9/29/2013 6:28 PM
like totally bogus man
Bonn1997 @ 9/29/2013 6:35 PM
According to the article, it's his third knee surgery in the past 12 months!
skeng @ 9/29/2013 6:37 PM
It's always so goddamn secret with our medical staff. Secrecy from top to bottom.
dk7th @ 9/29/2013 6:38 PM
this will likely mean no stoudemire in the mix which might be a good thing since woodson is so narrowminded in his lineups and substitution patterns. one less player whose game won't have to suffer by playing with carmelo anthony.
Clean @ 9/29/2013 6:40 PM
Dude is about as done as Eddy Curry after an hour of cardio. ANYTHING we get from him should be considered a bonus.
knickscity @ 9/29/2013 6:48 PM
He needs to have his locker scoped.
Bonn1997 @ 9/29/2013 6:52 PM
I'll give him credit for trying. The injuries and surgeries are probably very painful.

I honestly cant man. The only got 1 year out of him...and no playoffs due to self inflicted injuries.

Style dunking in warmups and punching firecases...that was the story of his first two playoff runs.....nothing to do with the knees.

Word son word

IronWillGiroud @ 9/29/2013 7:06 PM
why does it feel we're the only team that keeps surgeries secret?

they kept jr's stuff secret, now amar'e, it's not good man

Clean @ 9/29/2013 7:06 PM
Our Chances of being a good team rests on the shoulders of Bargs. I hope he really turns it around and gives us what Amare could not.

Did he do a lot of dunking in warmups? Either way, he's obviously trying hard now
Papabear @ 9/29/2013 7:20 PM
Papabear Says

I feel bad for him and Our team. When the man was healthy he did the best he could but when those knees go it's all over. When I played basketball I knew when my knees started to bother me it was time to quit. It's not a good feeling going for a dunk a then jumping down on hurting knees. I can't imagine what it feels like for Amare jumping and pounding on his bad knees. He needs to probably retire.

All I know is he removed himself from the playoffs as a healthy player twice doing an unnecessary task....one unfortunate, the other stupidly, and neither were knee related.

Amare is a competitor I dont take that from him, but the team has gotten very little while investing alot in him.

He should take one for the team....empty his locker.

If I sacrificed my body, I'd feel entitled to the financial compensation I was guaranteed. And as far as we know, the Knicks have never offered him a buyout.

They probably wont offer him either, they have alot of respect for him.

It would be a measure from him to do it on his own, he cant possibly feel like he's actually earning that money at this point.

CrushAlot @ 9/29/2013 7:55 PM
I remember several guys posting that they thought the Knicks were not revealing that something was up with Amare when the the informal workouts began. Anyway the Knicks can get out of his deal if he seeks a medical retirement? I don't think there needs to be any concern about finding minutes for Amare and Bargs or worrying about the defense when they are on the court together.

He earned the contract by giving up his body
If you get a career ending injury at your job and can no longer go to work and "earn" your money, it shouldn't get your employer out of money they guaranteed you.
You're only looking at this from the corporate employer perspective, not the employee's perspective.
