Kenyon Martin. 13th season
Tyson Chandler. 12th season. Ring. Olympic Gold Medal
Amare Stoudemire. 11th season

Carmelo Anthony. Tenth season
Jr Smith Ninth Season, with an asterisk for suspect behavior
Beno Uhrih. Ninth Season
Ray Felton. Eighth Season
Pablo Prigioni, NBA sophomore, international man of championships

If experience is the best teacher, these are the candidates to teach

Don't forget Beno has a ring and Kenyon has been in the finals twice.

I think it's OK sometimes to have a little crazy on your team. The team has enough straight laced guys that they can deal with a bit of a wild card. Teams have been able to win with a crazy guy in the mix.

uhhh... no

artest is a hothead
smith is a hothead
chandler is a hothead
martin is a hothead
felton is easily flustered
melo complains too much

you need ballast on a team with this many "personalities," somebody who has poise, composure, and is unflappable. last year it was kidd, and prigioni rarely if ever lost it. felton likes to out his hands on his hips and pout, sometimes he walks away from the refs too fast as a form of protestation too.

i am all for playing with passion and intensity but not if it causes you to unravel.

Ron is older but he knows how to play and get into guys heads. I still have fond memories of his guarding Kobe when he was a Rocket.

Honestly MWP is the least of my concern, he seems to always play well that first year he's with a team.

But he will have his hands full with his OWN guys.

I 'd have little issue with being a leader of the club.

Not worried about Metta either but who is he going to have his hands full with?

Namely, the guys who are some of the leaders in technicals, and the ones who feel the need to engage in 1 on 1 matches.

"I'm not big on talent. It's hard work and fundamentals. I could care less about talent. ... I know a lot teams that worked hard that lost. I know a lot of teams that had talent that lost. So you want to kind of make sure you are out there being intelligent and working hard, and I think that will get us over the top."

- Ron (Metta World Peace) Artest

This is who Andrea Bargnani will answer to in the locker room. This is who Carmelo will be aware of on the court when they share a shiftline. This is who will talk to JR Smith, along with Mike Woodson, about growing up.

You do the math.

Your post resemble that of a hopeless romantic.....

People without hope are hopeless.

Basketball is fun. Highlighting the warts and flaws on full blast does nothing for the enjoyment of the Answer Man. It is a game.

A championship would be sweet. Until the day after, when the same kvetching over coaching and roster moves kicks in.

Keep hope alive.

Mister Earl I like your positive thought process. You won't let them still or hijack your joy. Just observe how every post they put out is doom and gloom and hopelessness. It's like they are trying to get everyone to jump ship before the season starts. I laugh at them. Can't wait till the season begins. oops thier excuse is the season means nothing. So no matter how we play it means nothing. Well we shall see. Go Knicks Win Win Win.
