the playoff choking? the surgery? the drug use?

i think the drug use,

because everyone loves that fun guy in the bunch that is high,

he can make good jokes and witty comments

How the heck did Jr. shoot 3-16 last night? (I missed the game.) My guess is that he was shooting off the dribble and such. The team knows he suffers then, but without the starters I would have hoped for an adjustment.

he's a jump shooter, i think he's gone to the hole maybe once this preseasson..

He is pretty aggressive going to the hole at times (he was in the one or two gams he played in, in the summer league). I think they really want him to focus on being a spot up shooter.
Imagine being in his shoes, they just want you to be a spot up shooter (NOT to create your own shot - which he can do but not at a great %) and the guy who will be drawing your man is Melo.
He is in a very very good place to succeed. Still would have preferred Bullock but Hardaway JR. might end up being the better player, we'll see. As others have said, look at how much Shump
improved his shot since college.

Somewhere, Mr. Smith is smiling. And that hand wrap is concerning.

Timmy Jr. may have Daddy courtside at every game, but is he going to rebound and stroke game winners when the games are for real in his debutante season? Can he D up consistently? Way too early in spring training, and being injured at all this early on in a career to me is not a great sign.

I'm still upbeat on what I've seen, but fellas, come on. He's a rook. Let's not go crazy. Woodson is an old timer. He leans heavily on age, not finely cut yoots.

It's Shump and a trio of seasoned PG's fighting for time in the backcourt.
